Was always on the cards but surely Inter need the same type of job i.e transition that Chelsea needed?? Hopefully he learns from his mistakes and becomes successful.

I dont like him, its well known fact, but at this very moment, I'd choose him over Sturridge ANY ******* DAY. I already hate sturridge.

He frustrates me without a doubt but he is a trier and can be effective from the bench.

he will be successful surely. I still think it was way too early, the Chelsea job. Too big, too early.

Sturridge may be greedy and selfish a lot of the time but at least he has a lot of self confidence and is not afraid to go for goal unlike a certain £50 million flop.

Going for goal isnt the be and end all. Too many times he takes the wrong decision, and his overall play is pretty limited, very tricky but actually quite one dimensional.

more trophies = bigger club? fair enough.

Bigger financial draw ( and they will need it, Like Chelsea they are struggling with FFPR), more fans, more recent and historical success. That's not to say Chelsea aren't a big club, just Inter are bigger.

His mistakes? Chelsea players never listened or give the man a chance. The guy was a quality coach but Chelsea's players (particularly the old guard) were too up their self to play for him because they think they are still good enough to play most games, Lampard has looked well off it last few games, no wonder AVB did not play him. AVB will do well at a team that respects him as manager. Would like to see him at Tottenham, but if that Inter job gets offered he will take that.

Of course they are. Thats just not what I meant by 'too big'. I meant, managing Chelsea is a huge, tricky responsibility, its like the hardest job in club football maybe, and AVB hasnt got the balls for that job just yet. Nor does he have enough experience to lead a club like this. Inter on the other hand, is not that much demanding job compared to Roman's Chelsea. I'm sure Moratti would give him enough time if he was to be appointed. Thats what I meant by too big.

Ask Mancini, he will tell you which is the hardest job. Being Inter's manager is much more tougher than Chelsea's and history will tell that. MM loves to fire managers and as quick as changing innerwear.

Yeah Moratti is probably a little worse than Roman. It's debatable who's in worse condition in terms of squad: Inter still have Maicon, Snjeider, Forlan, Rannochia and Castaignos but they desperately need a new centre back, playmaker, and at least 1 new winger (sounds familiar eh ^^)).

Although I can't believe that someone's brought up batshit crazy Italian owners without mentioned Zamparini yet, the man looks Roman look like the patron saint of patience.

I disagree there is worse than Roman out there. I just cannot accept that. Sorry.

Yes, that's 20 managers in 9 and a half years including 4 (4!) this season.

Inter are in deeper **** tbh. Maicon is washed up, Sneijder can't play 3 games without getting injured, Rannochia hasn't proved himself and from what I have seen he is a liability. Cast is young and need time.

Alvarez, Coutinho are bright talents and now Guarin is fit, if he can show his quality then he would be great addition for them. Chelsea are in much better position than Inter.

I heard that there has been 16 managerial changes in Serie A this season. Crazy owners.

Inter are in a worse state. Their players are even more worn out than Chelsea's and FFPR aside, they dont even have that much money to replace them, they have to go with youth in future.

you most definitely did. good one. but still, Palermo is not a club fighting for the scudetto and/or european titles. However, Zampa is sick indeed. I dont understand why he keeps sacking those managers. Maybe the only man who understands him is Roman lol.

For me, Essien's best days as a Box to Box mid are over due to his injuries, but he can still be a very good defensive mid, who occaisonally be a serious threat from range, so you pair him with a fairly intelligent deep passer (Romeu) or a shuttler (Ramires, but he must work on his positioning)

Yeah agree with you, the one problem with this formation is that opposing teams usually pressure the midfielders heavily when they get the ball thereby removing the link between attack and defence.

Thats why Romeu is crucial in this formation,he has excellent composure and the ability to make an intelligent pass quickly.

He has shown capacity for mistakes which is only to be expected but he has all the tools to become a quality player

And guys I like Ramires as much as any of you but he needs to work on his technical ability and positioning if he wants to become a more complete midfielder. The work-rate, pace and stamina is there along with decent finishing. But with those qualities, he really limits the type of formations you can play him in as a Central Midfielder.

Also their is a formation known as the 1-4-2-2-1 which was used by italian sides I believe. Usually it involves a sweeper who can clear second balls (Gary Cahill). Plus one of the CBs roams forward in the attacking phase to support in the attack (David Luiz)

Plus of the 2 Defensive Midfielders, its probably a band of Essien and Romeu along with hardworking wingers. The lone striker role is also perfect for Drogba whose job will be to hold up the ball and wait for support from the wingers etc.

Whilst this tactic will probably never be tried unless Biesla comes along, its certainly something fresh and unique that could suit our team
