Although I'm happy he's finding the form everyone know's he's capable of , I'd rather he didn't do it during the Euro's. No offense Fernando

Del Bosque facing a dilemma though. Villa out, and an in-form Llorente out there.. I'd take Torres any day though.

I was making the point that you can't have everything. If you want mega millions and mega players etc, then the only people capable of delivering that kind of financial boost are ridiculously wealthy because they are ruthlessly power hungry egomaniacs who pay incredibly close attention to all the details of their business life.

It's only natural to expect Roman to want to have control over all the details of something he owns.

Im sure he is the only rich owner that does that. or maybe im wrong?

Nothing wrong with delivering the money for mega players, but appoint a ****** manager and let him decide which players would be useful. oh, yeah, I almost forgot.. and dont fire him after a year.

but you're right I guess, cant have everything.

Chelsea fans boo the Hillsborough silence, they boo Anton Ferdinand, yet the whole country is expected to back them in the CL Final. Not a chance.

They didn't boo the Hillsborough silence, they made the point that they thought Liverpool were at fault for the deaths of them poor people. Today's booing was stupid but we are not alone, Stoke fans yesterday vs Ramsey???

The day he does that is the day he withdraws his financial support and Chelsea implodes as a club.

What makes you think Chelsea will "implode" if Roman pulls out? We are near to start making a profit and reaching the Champs League final has only helped that. If Roman was to pull out then surely he would want his money back so it is in his interest to sell to someone who can give him that money back.

On the game today and it was game over after 50seconds really, just shows how much belief they all have especially playing Bosingwa centre back again and he actually played very well. Great performances all around again and like i said after the Barca game if that goal couldn't get Torres's goal senses ticking then no goal would and so far its looking good. 3 really good finishes today and a performance to match, Mata again just unreal and now the joint assist leader in his first season in England!!! Things going really well for the club at the moment and hopefully with Torres finding his scoring senses this season could be the best in the clubs history yet.

Quickly on the Anton Ferdinand thing, most Chelsea fans will back JT and believe he is innocent. Not just that but Ferdinand (including every one else who was on the pitch at that time) didn't hear the alleged racist comment and didn't press charges until his club said they would back him. I am not saying it is the right thing to do but in this day and age teams and Chelsea most definatly believe there is an agenda against the club by everyone and feel its us vs the world. I believe this is a major factor in the chanting at Wembley (Liverpool blamed Chelsea for Heysel when the game was between them and Juventus) and the booing of Ferdinand today. AGAIN I'LL MAKE IT CLEAR FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE MIND NUMBINGLY STUPID AND HAVE NO REAL RESPONSE SO JUST LABEL ME "DISRESPECTFUL". I DON'T NECCESSARILY AGREE WITH THESE INCIDENTS BUT MEARLY POSTING REASONS FOR THESE INCIDENTS.

So Hazard apparently is going to City this summer. Where are you NOW, Roman?

Give the man a break, he has just managed to sign Marin without ANY media source worldwide getting any wind of it at all. I don't think we will sign Hazard now personally, i think Marin will take that spot unless we sell 2-3 of that attacking line.

Where have the club or even fans come out and said "back us in the final"??? As a fan i want everyone to right us off and be against us, its worked wonders so far so keep up the good work.

I for one will be cheering on zee Germans, can't stand Chelsea as a club or their fans.

Keep on cheering my friend, we love to be hated as it only spurs us on. I would prefer if the media was slating us and writing us off against Bayern but it seems as if they are **** licking us now.

It was a hypothetical statement. A previous poster said he wanted Roman to interfere less. I was implying he is always going to interfere with team affairs and transfers as long as its his money funding the club.

But i do feel if one day he just upped and left (as you said, very unlikely as he'd want a return on his investment) then yes Chelsea would implode. I dont believe that any top club is anywhere near meeting any sort of self sustainability. Fortunately, the incoming rules are pretty watered down and there are plenty of loopholes.

Obviously if he just pulled out then yes we would be royally ******, i personally don't think he ever will anyway. You see the sort of things he has done i.e built a new training ground and looking to either expand the bridge or build a new stadium and the way he reacts to goals etc that he loves the club. I think just before we signed Torres and Luiz we ended that year with a 70mill loss (which didn't include sponsorship deals etc) and i believe it was down again this year. Reaching the Champs League final will guarantee us around 40-50 million and if a big if we reach it again next season that another what 30million? Things are looking much better for us financially there is no doubt about that.

What a great performance from the team. Torres was absolutely fantastic, that predatory finish and those intelligent runs are back. The goals are flowing again :D

Also special mention to Mata. 2 assists against QPR and its amazing how he has managed to keep up his level of performance despite playing so many games, unlike a certain other Spaniard in Manchester. Great to see Sturridge on the score-sheet as well, has not been playing as much under RDM but good to see him in form

Come on Blues, a win like this against Newcastle and we are back in the top 4. RDM has completely turned our season on its head and somehow has even gotten Torres to score lol

I dont think Marin will be a first-teamer next season. More likely an offensive-orientated substitute who will get plenty of games. He is still needs some polish in my opinion particularly on things like tracking back and not going for the Hollywood pass.

Also feel he will temper down on his attitude when he see's that he is not the star of the team.

We still need one more attacking player in my opinion. Our depth in that department is shocking and that can be told from the number of games Mata alone has had to play. Would like to see Willian come in as at least he can be a back-up for Mata considering that most of you feel Marin is better on the wing

We have De Bruyne coming home, if we dont sign a new winger, we better not loan Kevin to another club.

We should buy another winger/DLP/right back and we are good to go.
i really hope we get jovetic because of his great versatility, he has the ability to play anywhere across the front 4 plus he would become a great character much like luiz is because of his style of play.

Jovetic/Azipilicueta (sp) and Modric would be awesome signings. Would totally transform the team

[h=3]CHELSEA LINKS UP WITH SAUBER F1 TEAM[/h]
Posted on: Mon 30 Apr 2012

Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce a groundbreaking partnership with the Sauber F1 Team, bringing together two of global sport's biggest names.
The unique partnership forges a relationship between two internationally successful teams with fantastic heritage who share the same excitement and passion for performance, bringing unique content and experiences to football and F1 fans.

At the Chinese Grand Prix earlier this month, subtle Chelsea branding 'Out of the blue' featured on Sauber F1 team cars, and 'True Blue' continued the tease at the Bahrain race, leaving fans guessing as to its meaning.
The image above features a 'Welcome Chelsea FC' message on the Sauber F1 team car, which will be used during testing in Italy tomorrow.
We can now reveal the official partnership launch will take place at the Spanish Grand Prix next week. From then, the Champions League finalists' crest will proudly be displayed on the cars of drivers Kamui Kobayashi, of Japan, and Mexico's Sergio Perez.

The Premier League and Formula 1 are the most watched sports around the globe and with 20 F1 races in 2012 spread right across the world, the excitement of F1 is set to reach almost half of the planet's population, ensuring Chelsea's exposure to many more than the already record worldwide numbers tuning in to watch Premier League action.
The new partnership is focused on ways to enhance sporting and business performance. This includes the exchange of knowledge in sport science, launching joint commercial initiatives, merchandising, events, marketing and linked sponsorship opportunities.

Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay said: 'This is an innovative partnership that will see a football club link up with an F1 team like never before, bringing together two of the world's biggest sports and uniting our fans.
'We felt that this Swiss team, the fourth oldest of the existing teams, reflects our own ideals perfectly.
'In a year when Chelsea celebrates 20 seasons as a Premier League team, Sauber does so as an F1 team. We share many philosophies when it comes to how the respective organisations are run, from the development of young talent to constantly striving for success. Their philosophy towards grassroots development has produced some of the best drivers in F1, which mirrors our dedication to develop promising young football talent through our Academy.

'This partnership will benefit us both greatly, with the potential to create unique commercial opportunities. It is a shared vision to unite the two most attractive sports in the world.
'We look forward to working closely with the Sauber F1 Team and wish them the very best of luck for the remainder of the Formula 1 season.'
Monisha Kaltenborn, CEO of the Sauber F1 Team, added: 'A partnership like this between Formula 1 and football has never existed before in this form, yet there are numerous commonalities and possible synergies. In either case we are talking about team sport at the highest - and international - level. The Sauber F1 Team and Chelsea FC are dealing with many of the same sporting and commercial topics and we want to strengthen each other in these areas.'

Great little partnership especially if we can get Kobayashi really on board as it could make us ever bigger in Asia. Oh and can't wait to see the Champions League finalists badge on the car this weekend and i wonder where the next race is??? Oh yes its in Barcelona, haha love it. Welcome to Chelsea FC Sauber.

Di Matteo has been awarded the manager of the month award for April, well ******* deserved!!!! Well maybe Martinez deserves a shout too.
