Apparently Yaya feels he has achieved all he can at City :/ what about the CL surely City will want to try and win that in the next few years.

Why would Yaya Toure want to move to us or move at all. At first I thought it is some ply by his agent to increase his salary but then realized that he is already one of the highest-paid players in the world. Cant understand why his agent his doing this but as always, load of nonsense we should ignore

Also congratulations to Nathan Ake for lifting the European U-17 Championships with the Dutch Side. He was the captain

Strong reports coming out of Italy suggesting Capello is Chelsea's next manager and it's to be announced after the Champs League Final.

Really hope thats bs

Has positives and negatives for me. The person who needs to start this transition needs to be experienced and have an air of discapline about him but force it in the correct way.

Seriously, dont know what to think. Never expected it. I know he was free now, but still.. Capello? Seriously?

I dont think he is THE man to do all that transition/refreshment/overhaul thing. Yes, lots of experience, indeed, but still.. not sure.

He can handle egos thats for sure though.

I think has the right balance between loyalty and discipline, if so then he can do this transition phase.

Also just looking at this ref for the final and he has never ref'd Chelsea but has ref'd Bayern twice. Both at the Allianz Arena and both ended in defeats for Bayern.

At first I was like "oh god why?" but having thought it over, I wouldn't mind Capello.

and why am I having that bad feeling now, that there wont be third time.

Capello is far better club wise than international, though he wasnt actually bad internationally. And he isnt a boring manager, his teams could play some excellent stuff.

Depends really.. I guess I would not mind Capello after I had a second look at his CV but can he take a club forward in the long-term?

It will be interesting to see who Chelsea play on the left because of the presence of Robben and Lahm. Lahm is a machine and is probably the best RB in the world. Ramires would have been perfect because of his work-rate, pace and energy he could have easily given Ashley Cole a much needed helping hand. It looks like RDM will now give Kalou that role. Reasonably confident we can supress the threat if Ashley Cole puts in a good game

Juan Mata might just be key in the game. Due to the Bavarian's lack of a holding midfielder, he might be able to exploit the space between the lines much as Kagawa did and tear the defence apart.

Also it looks like Sturridge will get the nod on the right. Could be a good game for him considering Alaba is out for the game. He must track back to help Bosingwa with Ribery though.

Problem is that Bayern's attack is far superior to ours. Robben,Ribery, Kroos, Mueller and Gomez are brilliant bunch of players. We will have to put in a solid defensive performance and I can see a lot of desperate defending in store for us much like we did vs Barcelona. Hoprefully we can nick one on the counter though

I would have felt so much better if we had Ivanovic and Ramires allowed to play :( Iva is capable of nullifying Ribery and Ramires would have been perfect on the left as well as dangerous on the counter

I think what we need is someone to actually do this transition properly and someone as experienced and rounded off as Capello can do it. Then maybe in 2-3 years time when the transition is complete appoint a young, enthusiastic manager who likes to play the way Roman wants to see.

I dont like the sound of that tbh. We should pick a manager who can lead the club for the next 10 years. Not just the next 2-3.. Thats why I am wondering whether he can take Chelsea forward or if he is merely someone who can bring short-term success

Was thinking about this yesterday and Lahm and Robben have a great understanding on the right but with Alaba being suspended they are likely to bring Rafinha in at right back and break up that Lahm-Robben partnership by switching him to left back. If that's the case then its their left side with Lahm and Ribery we need to watch out for so i'd put Kalou on that side with Sturridge Left wing. Yes he is erratic at times but he is a player who can make something out of nothing.

The biggest mistake i think we can do is play 4-3-3 because unlike Barca, Bayern will not box the midfield.

10 year managers is a thing of the past though lets be honest. The days of Wenger and Ferguson are in the past now days, football has moved on.

I did not mean literally 10 years haha.. But we should not appoint someone who will we defnitely let go of 3-4 years down the line no matter what

Basically play Kalou on whichever side Lahm is playing because Lahm is amazing. He can tear us apart if we ignore him

Sturridge as much as he can create something out of nothing will have to track back. Especially if he is playing ahead of Bosingwa. Sturridge is a game-changer on his day so lets hope :)

Bayerns midfield is very attack-orientated. They will have to hold back so this will hopefully disrupt the way they are used to playing. We need to hold our defensive shape at all times an track the likes of Gomez, Robben and Ribery dilligently. Then we can use the spaces Bayern's midfield are sure to leave behind on the counter

Juan Mata will be the most important player tommorow. If he turns up and Sturridge actually tracks back then I think we can pull it off

They will more than likely lose the attacking thread of Schwienstieger because he will have to play the Gustavo role. That is assuming Tymoschuk (sp) will fill in at centre back. If that is the case then Kroos will drop back into Schwienstiger's normal role and then will play Muller who i believe through the middle can be stopped.
