Maybe we are doing better than what people think. On the day we bought Luiz and Torres for 70million we showed we lost 70million that year. But a year on from that despite being 70million under and then spending 70 million we only showed a loss of around 40-50million.

The thing is you can have only combined loss of 45m for seasons 11/12 and 12/13. If you go over that you face ban from Europe.

Right back is not essential, Ivanovic is our first choice RB and we still have Ferreira.

If ivanovic pulls a hamstring and is out for 1 month you wanna keep ferreira as backup ? Guess luiz should be turned a rb.He loves to go forward anyways.

Ooo, I didn't realise you were the Chelsea accountant. Can you skim off some money for me, 10m or so will do pal.

Not until I finish my degree. Couple years left in line still.

Only interested to see how they manage to deal with FFP if it really has any teeth.

Well, when you get in there, with inflation and all that, I will probably need 15m+, considering my lifestyle.

But seriously, these FFP rules have been known for a while, and I am sure Roman will be aware if he ***** it up and Chelsea do get kicked out of Europe, the Chelsea fans will be ****** beyond belief. Much like any other team would be. They might be looking to move on a few players following the Euros, or they might well have something else up their sleeves. Roman is a business man, and he won't risk having Chelsea losing out on their second biggest moneymaker following the Premier League.

Not even Chelsea are that stupid to put ourselves in that position.

Luiz could do a job at rightback i have no doubt about that. Also if Essien stays he can play rightback too.

Bit much.

What him being "the best signing we've ever made"? I don't think so. Won't necessarily be the best in the end, but based on talent, he's the best.

Doubt he'll be able to be a Drogba, Lampard, Cech, Cole, but like I say, if we're talking about talent - he's the best (at the time of signing, and potential). And for me, because I've wanted him so much.

You do realise nothing has been confirmed yet.

I don't get it. Whats happening to Studge, Rambo, Malouda, Bertrand, Kakuta, De Bruyne, Roman?

Rami will play, he's one of our best players. If Hulk doesn't join then I think we'll play either 4-3-2-1 with Hazard and Mata behind Torres, and Rami CM. Or well play 4-2-3-1 with Rami RAM.

If Hulk joins then either Rami, Mikel; Hulk, Hazard, Mata; Torres, or RCM, Mikel; Ramires, Hazard, Mata; Hulk. Would think it'll be the first though.

I'd still say a regista should be bought, (I know people will disagree) but Mikel has the passing ability and creativity to get the ball to the 3 attacking midfielders. Or, we could give Josh the chance. Which is possibly my preferred choice, but he would not be playing all games. If he was rotating with Meireles and Lampard in that role it would work well, IMO.

If we get Hazard, Hulk, and say Modrić, or someone similar, then it gets tricky fitting them all in, although this would be, IMO, devastating:

Mikel

Ramires Modrić

Hazard Mata

Hulk

But that means no Torres, and Torres surely has to play after what he said.

Studge can go, but if he wants to be backup to Hulk (RW and striker) or Torres (striker) then great!

Malouda can go. As I said last year, his time out our club should now come to an end.

Bertrand I don't see how he fits in with the rest? None of our potential signing will affect him.

Kakuta, IMO, should be bakup along with Piazón and Marin to Hazard and Mata.

De Bruyne will go out on loan for a season, and possibly another after that, but if he impresses, I'm sure he'll only be away a year. But when he returns De Bruyne should be either CM or CAM, so if he plays CM the signings (as they look atm) shouldn't affect his role too much.

vdW should be bought IMO, along with Hulk (not my first choice, but he would suit our formation and can be backup striker too), Hazard, and possibly a regista.

Yes, and? It will be soon.

This guy is indecisive and has been through that many clubs he said he wants to play for you can't guarantee anything until it is official, so do not get excited just yet.

Think Mignolet only mentioned Chelsea because the Sky Sports interviewer told him he was meant to be going there.

Signing Hulk now would be a stupid thing to do.

I honestly think they want Hulk for an alternative striking option, Ron Gourlay said after the CL Final they wanted two strikers who could get them 25-30 goals a season (not sure Hulk is quite that but what else do they need him for).

He's never once said he will join a certain club other than now, and he said he keeps his promises. I know before he said he would go to Manchester, but at that time we weren't Champions of Europe, and hadn't made another off recently. Of course you can't, but he will sign, I'm sure.

Well that makes sense, but surely giving Sturridge a chance through the middle is a safer bet than splashing out a huge sum of money on another forward. They should use that money to go for Dani Alves, alot of people believe Barca are ready to sell him and Chelsea need a quality right-back.

No doubt, but Roman rarely does the logical thing.

Anyone think Sturridge should leave for his own career? He is personally one of my favourite players but I think he should leave for himself as many Chelsea fans are harsh on him and dont appreciate the talent he posseses. If he decides to be abit greedy and go for goal its wrong but anyone else i.e Torres, Mata etc its a "good effort". DSome Chelsea fans seem to forget he finished one of our top scorers this season and he won us quite a few points especially in the first half of the season under AVB.

I think if he is played upfront next season then by all means be greedy because he will be/should be in the better position rather than coming inside and shooting.

tbh I would rather see him ahead of Torres. Not Fernandos biggest fan as people have already seen on this forum lol but if he carrys on struggling I wouldnt mind seeing him ******* off soon. Next season may be his last chance to prove himself.
