Think most of you should know. Kalou, Bosingwa and Drogba have officially left on free transfers. Club apparently prepared to listen for offers for Malouda, Ferreira and Essien in a further attempt to reduce the wage bill to fund the purchase of Hazard and possibly Hulk and others

So basically this will leave 2 winger spots free which will be filled by Hazard and probably Hulk. A new RB slot. And possibly a CM spot

Recouping money doesn't exacty seem to be amongst Roman's main objectives, but surely you could have tied down Kalou for another year and made a bit of money on him? I admittedly don't rate Bosingwa much, but Kalou had a decentish season.

Why would Kalou accept a new deal?

Never thought of it the other way around but... Probably going to be paid less wherever he goes, to a worse club and he's just won the Champions League. I'm a Liverpool fan so I don't care but I thought he was one of your better players this season. (I'm taking it as being obvious that you aren't going to tell Kalou "listen mate, we're signing you up again just so we can cash in).

Not Chelsea fan btw. Generally players on free gain higher wages on their new clubs cos they dont need to pay transfer fee's. All depends on what club he decides to go basically. If he signed new deal then Chelsea could basically decide which club he goes by accepting certain offers and declining others. Now he can choose freely himself.

IMO he'd be a cracking signing for Everton.

LOL.. Ramires, Juan Mata, Didier Drogba, Daniel Sturridge, Ivanovic, Fernando Torres all ahead of him in terms of performances.

Glad we got rid of Kalou tbh. Good player but if we want to pose a serious challenge to the Manchester clubs, he should not be anywhere near the starting 11

Just read on twitter that Sturridge is transfer listed, can someone confirm this?

Eh... Dont know anything about this. But let me put it out here that I will not be very sad to see him go. On pretty high wages and has a ego to boot. Not to mention him and his father's continued moans for him to play Centre-Forward.

But I doubt it in any case.

Anyways Van Der Wiel said after the Northern Ireland game that he would be open to a move to Chelsea. Although he did say that no bid has been made contradicting earlier reports

Carl Jackson@jacko_cfc@OptaJoe: 6 - Eden Hazard created six goalscoring chances today, twice as many as any England player. Introduction.

Did England even have 6 goalscoring chances in the game? :D

Probably not 6, but we did have better opportunities than Belguim, which I suppose Roy has to take some credit for, considering the possession Belguim had.

Would love to have Dembele.

Also I would like to see Paulo stay for another year, such a lad.

Modric!! Why settle for Dembele who undoubtedly is a good player when potentially one of the few excellent regista's will be avaliable this summer.

Can already imagine a double pivot of Modric-Essien. Essien playing the role of the destroyer and breaking up opposition attacks and shielding the back 4. Modric moving up to link the midfield with the attack with his superior passing abilities and vision. An attack that will consist of Torres-Mata-Hulk-Hazard.

I am telling you, we would be as strong as Manchester City if we get Hulk and Modric

I would not include Essien in that two either way. I think Mikel is much more suited and his end of season form just shows that he could be ready to fullfull his potential in this role.

I was thinking the same. Thats why rumours are floating around that the club is prepared to hear offers for Essien.

I like to see Mikel in that role with Romeu rotating. I would not sell Meirless because he can fulfill a number of roles decently and offers us the chance to switch to a 4-3-3

I think we can afford to get rid of one of Meireles or Essien as long as McEachran is kept.

Would like to see McEachran go on loan next season as he needs games. I think we can still afford to get rid of Meirless or Essien that way.
