Got a feeling Hazard will be disliked by many fans across the Premier League but ohwell being a Chelsea fan I am used to our players being hated.

Disliked is an understatement, just wait till he gets to Old Trafford.

Ha yeah what I find funny aswell is alot of their fans on twitter qriting how they didnt want him anyway and they think Kagawa is the better player etc but when you look at their tweets from about this time last week they are writing to Hazard saying stuff like " Come and join Utd you would be top class for us!" " Man utd is the team for you come and join us" ha

Maturity on pitch? Yes. Maturity off pitch? No.

Sorry, do you know Eden? I thought not.

But, going off the things he's said in the media, he doesn't really show lack of maturity. He's a very flirtatious character, but does that mean he's not mature? No, it does not.

From the profile I've gathered of him, while watching him (and following him in the media) for the past years, he's shown maturity ahead of his years, rather than lack of it. Don't forget, he's only 21 years old, and since making his début, he's had the pressure of the media, and for the past 2 years of that, he's been bringing up a child with his partner. That's a lot to deal with at such a young age.

Don't judge his maturity off the comments he's made to the media about his transfer, because you can't judge maturity from that. That's him just playing with the media, and there's nothing wrong with that, IMO, because that's all they do themselves.

Yes, and they've been tweeting a comparison of stats over their career (goals and assists), which favours Kagawa. But, that's no surprise taking into consideration that Kagawa played for THREE YEARS in J2 League and one in J League. And also, Hazard's shooting has improved SO much over the past year or so, which is a reason for his relatively low goalscoring record previous to this season just gone.

I am a United fan and I admit despite all his talk in the media saying he wanted to play for a variety of different clubs, I would of taken him because he is versatile, has good potential and would of been a good signing for positions we could do with strengthening.

However I do not think you could compare Kagawa and Hazard. Hazard has been playing mainly on the wing in Ligue 1 (which is poorer than the Bundesliga) but has been impressive admittedly. Whereas Kagawa has been playing behind Lewandowski in a very tough German league and has looked impressive as well. I think for both clubs they are two potentially very good signings. Providing the Kagawa to United transfer goes through.

Not judging at all by any comments he's made. Overprotective of Eden Hazard? Are you his mother/father/brother or just a fanboy? It's things hes done off the pitch like hiding a teammates watch causing hotel employees to be investigated for potential theft and not saying anything until after which caused the whole national team to depart late from the airport. Missing the the teams bus going to training (not that big of a deal). Storming out of a game after being substituted to go eat a hamburger.

You could also say Kagawa was playing with much better team mates too. Both are quality players who can bring a lot to England.

Just a fanboy...

No, not really, but...
  • The watch - I remember hearing about this at the time of it happening. But, TBH, I can't remember it exactly (and can't find an article), but I do remember all was forgiven, and a few found it funny, others not. Whose watch was it? Might be wrong but wasn't it Chadli's? Who is a very good friend of Hazard's.
  • Missing the bus to training? Like you said, it's no big deal, he didn't miss it by long, and still got there on time for the training session.
  • The hamburger incident is always brought up, but nobody had a problem with him going to eat a hamburger with his family, they were annoyed with him insulting Leekens. Which, again, is not acceptable, but there's a lot more to it with Leekens, they're definitely not the best of friends. But since that happened his attitude has change, and it had to otherwise he would have been frozen out of the national team.
Much older, and more mature players have done worse - does that make them immature? No, it doesn't. You can make mistakes, and do stupid things without being immature.

EDIT: Just found an article about the watch, and it was Chadli's, who has been a friend of Eden's for years. And nobody was investigated - not one single employee because the security said no. Leekens said that it showed there was a good atmosphere within the group, and that's coming from somebody who has been very critical of Hazard. And like I said, some found it funny, others not because they then missed their next flight.

About what ChrisBird mentioned on fouls...

Hazard has a knack for unbalancing defenders. Especially in the penalty box. It is the reason why he gets fouled so much. I think it was either Arsene Wenger or SAF who said this.

Also another trait of Hazard is his acceleration. He is very rapid initially and his pace makes him ideal for the wings where he can drift in or hug the byline. I can see him and Ashley Cole forming a good partnership down the left with Ashley Cole bombing into the space Hazard leaves as Hazard drifts inside.

So despite what Hazard says about playing 'in the hole', I am confident Juan Mata will play there with Hazard on the left.

We have never really had that creativity from the wings for a long time so I am very excited about the Hazard transfer. It was noticeable that we needed to strengthen our left flank and what better way to do so than go out and sign the best young prospect in Europe

As for the Hulk transfer, I am less sure. As I mentioned Hulk does not offer to us anything we do not really have except being an upgrade on Daniel Sturridge. Differences are that Hulk tracks back, is not as selfish, older and simply better. So hopefully we offload Sturridge to complete the Hulk transfer

And rotate Hulk with Ramires on the right flank depending on the opposition

Whats with all this "Hazard is not mature" business?
The lads 21 and has had majority of the big clubs around the world chasing him, you expect him not to be spoilt?

Welcome to Chelsea Mr Hazard! :)

Kagawa's 23, i did not hear him mentioning club after club of who was interested in him, there is a way to deal with these things and he certainly went about it the wrong way.

Correct me if im wrong but Kagawa had no where near as many clubs after him and he was hardly in any spotlight.

How has he gone about it in the wrong way? By toying with the worlds biggest clubs and their supporters? Get over it.

Not bothered about it, by the way there was huge interest in Kagawa, him and his agent just handled it profesionally. The reason I brought it up was because Chelsea fans were calling him mature.. lol.

What does Kagawa have to do with Chelsea? A sum total of **** all, if I'm correct.

Welcome to Chelsea and the Premier League, Mr Hazard. I'm sure it'll be a pleasure watching him.

Nothing, but Hazard has been far from mature in how he handled the whole thing, despite a few Chelsea fans who think he has been. ;)

I said his match performances showed great maturity for someone who gets slated by the press alot. The fact he was publicly discussing where he will play next season is his prerogative. He is a young lad who was wanted by the top 3 sides in England, using it to his advantage trying to get the best deal for himself. I don't blame him for that, i would do the same.

I wasn't referring to you it was someone else a few pages back, but anyway he was a prat how he handled it but good luck to him and it will make the Premier League even better, although I think it may take time for him to settle, bit like Kagawa for United.
