Fernando Torres is the first player to score in two European Championship finals.
I know Torres haters love stats so much, so here's some for you out there: 1 Champions League, 1 FA Cup, 1 European Championship + The Golden Boot.
Oh, he is so ****.
To be fair their is no point in reverting to a 4-2-3-1 to suit one player because our squad is well suited to a 4-2-3-1/4-3-3... Ramires can do a terrific job on the wing in a 4-2-3-1 and also do a fantastic job in a CM role in a 4-3-3. Not to mention he can also act as a energetic shuttler in a double pivot alongside Mikel/Romeu if needed.
On Jovetic.. All the minor publications have gone with us making a 25m bid. I dont know how likely his transfer is. I metioned before that with the versatilty Marin, Hazard, Mata, Jovetic, Sturridge offer us there are a lot of options we can play around with so I do not think anyone will have problems getting games.
If its just a rumour then I will say its well-thought out one by the newspapers for a change
Mata never said he prefers to play in the hole. But its obvious that its his best position. He was better there for Chelsea than Silva was for Man City inb my opinion. Getting Hazard and Marin remove some of that creative burden from his shoulders making him even more effective
Also last season you could see how much we needed a regisgta. Mata was continually forced to drop deep to allow us to transition from defence to attack because our CMs were incapable of doing so. This took Mata away from the areas where he was most effective ... If we get Modric then this will truly lift Mata's game to another level as he will not be forced to drop deep anymore
Also Hazard said CAM is his favourite position. But realistically he was never going to be able to play the #10 role at any of the Manchester Clubs or Chelsea. Man Utd have Rooney, Man City have Silva and we have Mata. And Mike. said that he actually has only played 10 games there for Lille. Hazards best position is on the left... Can destroy a full-back inside or outside and in any case we need that creativity from the wings which we have missed since the Duff/Robben days
Also look at this utter bullcrap!!!!! Of course published by the daily mail!!!

Mata may well have been forced to come deep, but he does that naturally and will continue to next season regardless. I don't think it's obvious at all that it's his best position. Mata is at his best when he's given freedom to roam; this can be done on the left or in the centre.
For some reason, people seem to think Mata was miles better when he moved from left to centre, but that's not true! It made the team a lot better, but not Mata that much – apart from that it meant he did not have to defend as much – giving him more freedom. If we'd have had Modrić last season, I doubt Mata would have gone central, as he wouldn't have been needed as much. Also, Silva didn't really play #10 – he played CAM for City a grand total of... 4 games... Then there's Mata who played CAM 9 times, so that's 1 less than Hazard!
Hazard has said CAM is his best and favourite position, and it is, by some way! I've watched Hazard a lot over the past 2 years (nearly all games for LOSC and Belgium last season) and he's much more effective in CAM. He may well have only started (he played more times there, but not always from the start) 10 times in CAM for LOSC, but it's no coincidence that he had his best assists to minutes and goals to minutes and that LOSC had their best results when he played there. When Hazard didn't play CAM, it was because Rudi Garcia opted for 4-3-3 (which he played a lot), where there's obviously no CAM (in the 4-3-3 LOSC played, anyway). CAM is certainly his best position, not LW, though he's still very good on the wing.
I do not think Mata will come deep if we get a regista. The reason why Mata was forced deep is due to the fact that our CMs were incapable of linking midfield and attack which forced Mata to come deep and do it for them. With a regista, Mata will probably stay in the area where he is most effective and that is the final third
tbh Hazard played those 10 games as CAM over 3 seasons I think so not much basis for comparison there.
If we had Modric, in all likelihood we would have stuck with a 4-3-3. When we played 4-3-3, our midfield was totally unbalanced due to the lack of a adept deep passer and Modric would have solved that.
Yes but if you look at the qualities of Mata and Hazard. It would be better to play Hazard in a more expressive role as a LW with Mata as a CAM
Because Hazard possesses blistering pace and acceleration which Mata does not. Dont get me wrong Mata is fast but Hazard is way faster which is important when he wants to beat the full-back on the outside
Mata is more adept in providing the final pass while Hazard is better at getting onto it. Hope that makes sense.
Hazard has a knack for unbalancing opponents in the box which wins him a lot of penalties.
But again your right that Hazard's stats does shoot up when he plays CAM. So RDM has a decision to make here. Its not that Mata cannot play LW well, its just that looking at these 2 players I think its better to play Hazard as LW and Mata as CAM
Would be fascinating to see if RDM ever tries to play Hazard as a False Nine in a 4-3-3. He is certainly capable of doing the role and we have the midfield runners (Ramires, Lampard) and direct option from the wings (Sturridge) who can exploit the space Hazard creates
Maicon looking likely now. Reports in Italy saying reported fee is 6m pounds which is slightly expensive but meh...
Do you think if AVB was named Spurs manager, Modric wouldnt come?
Some of the comments on Maicon to Chelsea are hilarious (not on here). I saw a bandwagon going on about this is why England are rubbish at International level, surely buying Debuchy, Azip, some other bloke would be worse for England than a 31 year old being backup/rotated for a 28 year old.
Kane/whoever else can go on loan and get some experience and by the time hes back Maicon will be gone thus he gets to play! It isn't that hard to understand, right?
Genuinely don't mind if he isn't as good as he used to be, he's better than Bosingwa so I'm happy. He's also overrated on Fifa which is great.
Dont know how many of you have liked the Chelsea fan pages on Facebook but most of the **** that is said there is terrible!
The lack of knowledge is incredible, and yet they are so stubborn.
The other day there was a Modric transfer rumour posted and someone commented " Why do we need another playmaker? We have Lampard." -.-
