No need for the 'funny' comments because your captain may be getting this length of a ban,

plainly stating that both should have the same punishments for similar actions

It was a joke relax yeah, if anything I agree with you I believe that consistency is vital with these decisions.

Question, are you saying he should get it because it's right, or simply because Suarez got 8 games. Because I'm fairly you sure you were saying how the latter shouldnt have got it. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Rio Ferdinand being pathetic on twitter as usual writing a tweet which clearly is aimed towards JT. Wouldn't be surprised if nothing is said about the tweet made but if it was the other way round..

Not sure how its pathetic. Given the abuse Chelsea fans sent, not sure any moral ground can be claimed here. Terry denied, but is apparently caught on camera saying it? Pretty sure that would make him a liar.

I was saying IF proven guilty, Terry should receive the same punishment as Suarez did.. no matter what people feel should happen if both players are found guilty of similar offences, i believe they both should have the same punishment

Terry banned from England forever? Thank god for that, we need to use Centre Back's with pace now and adopt a higher defensive line. Terry always prevented this.

Who do you suggest?

Cant think of many English pacey center-backs to be honest.

I dont think they are the same, I think Terry's is more severe, if proven. Remember Suarez got two 4 games bans, not one 8 game ban.

Why is this a must??? Surely that depends on how Hodgson wants to play.

Can't think of many English Centre-Backs with pace??????????????

Chris Smalling, Jolen Lescott, Steven Caulker, Gary Cahill (yeh he has more pace than Terry), Phil Jones, Rio Ferdinand (no where near as quick as he was but still quicker than Terry), Phil Jagielka, all of these are better options than Terry for England and at least we would not need to adopt such a deep defensive line.

Probably missed a few.. England certainly do not lack Centre Back's though.

It's a must because a deep defensive line invites more pressure and just invites the opponent on to you, I see no advantage of Terry unless you want to defend on the edge of the box and lets face it, any manager with sense would not want to. Especially when you consider England should hopefully be bringing in players who are actually good with the ball, Wilshere, Cleverley, etc.

The only issue with having Terry is when you play a 4-4-2.

Having said that, we have younger more rounded centrebacks, and its time we focused on the next 4 years.

Surely IF he's proven guilty the FA will impose a much more severe punishment than on Suarez. Suarez was found guilty by their own investigation. If Terry is found guilty in a court of law, then surely the punishment has to be more severe as it means it's been proven that he racially aggravated Anton Ferdinand, rather than just using racist language..

Not to say I agree or disagree, but that only makes sense.

Yup, Suarez's ban wasnt as severe as people make out. Neither were his charges.

You will not see a high line from England any time soon, and you will beg for Terry and he will be gone.

And how many goals has he prevented from happening? Ungrateful......... ..people. I'm not even English and I appreciate more what Terry has done for England. Unbelievable.

But his time has come, like all players. Like Rio's had.

West Brom's and Fulham's line were actually relatively high. Roy's game at its best has a mildly high line, as the side is compact and pressing hard.

How many times were we defending deep on the edge of our box so Terry was not getting exploited due to his lack of pace for England.. hence why you have to block so many shots near the edge of the area should be more to the point...

Out of that list Smalling and Phil Jones are the only two i have seen enough of to be able to say that they have sufficient pace to play a high line. I havent seen enough of Caulker but he has been selected for the GB Olympics Team so I look forward to watching him, although I dont think that Stuart Pearce plays a high line.

I would rule out Lescott, Jagielka and Ferdinand if we are talking about building for the future or the next major tournament.

Gary Cahill isnt the quickest but his positioning is excellent and may be able to cope with the high line.

Besides Woy doesnt look like he is going to be bringing his high-line game to England.
