The whole thing is a joke.
The whole thing is a joke.
Not a joke or "Playground stuff" at all... when someone abuses another person because of their skin colour it becomes very serious.. Terry being the so called "leader" (yeh i know... hahahahahahaha) should of known the consequences of racially insulting Ferdinand at the time.. basically insulting him because the colour of his skin.
The way Anton said something to him so Terry said something back and Anton said he didn't even hear anything but then decided to get Terry in trouble after seeing it somewhere else is all very childish. Terry is a leader no matter what you say, around 10 managers have managed him and kept him as captain which says it all.
Would never be my choice for a captain, considering his off-field actions, despite Terry's pathetic plea of not-guilty I think he is well aware he is guilty. No matter what Ferdinand said he did not exactly help himself by saying them things to Ferdinand.
Off the field problems shouldn't come into it for me when you are in a work place. Terry is not suggesting he didn't say them words but its in what manner he said them. Like i said earlier innocent or guilty nothing will change with him, only Chelsea fans like him now and only Chelsea fans will like him after.
If he did get guilty of this I think Terry should be removed of Chelsea captain, many other people deserve it more, Lampard and Cech for example.

No he shouldn't and wont be, the police, FA and Premier League will dish out the punishments. What else do you want his contract to be ripped up as well?
then again you are a fan, a United fan. Not sure why are we discussing this, your word against ours/mine.
Whether I am a United fan does not really come into it... I mean it makes very little difference to me who is captain for Chelsea. But in my eyes a captain is someone who should be respected on and off the pitch and someone to look up to, I am sorry but Terry is hardly that.
Lampard/Cech should be hands down before him.

We've had this exact same discussion with the Liverpool Suarez thing. Simply put, if you are a fan who is able to put his (Terry's) personal problems aside and look at his professional ability then that is up to the individual to decide their view. If you consider captaincy of the club an example for young players and young kids who support the club then arguably this doesn't send the best message if he is found to be guilty and retains the armband. I think that much should be obvious to all fans, and that seems to be the point zzeezzy was trying to make?
Perhaps a little less partisanship is required, though I can see where it gets difficult as JT is certainly a club legend, and it's difficult to reprimant someone so popular with the fans.
Thank you for looking at the whole picture and not taking a biased view. Yeh that was basically the point I was trying to make.
Off topic on the Terry saga, but Brazillian and English sources say we have beaten Tottenham to get Oscar (from Internacional). If true, then I feel this is a tough signing to make a clear opinion on, mainly due to the fact that I would have liked Modric but Oscar is only 20 years old and can turn out to be an unbelievable player.
