What's with the chip on the shoulder about Liverpool?

I don't know, but apparently it's a 'thing'. Some Chelsea fans apparently hate Liverpool for little to no reason, and Liverpool fans... well, mostly ignore them.

Wow this came out of the blue lol. Great potential for such a young age, only heard great stuff about him. Really looking forward to seeing him next season.

The problem is that they state Chelsea have no history but since when did history include just silverware?

i'd claim there were plenty of reasons to hate liverpool, notably that 2005 champions league semi-final. however, i would say the hatred has subsided now that they are a mid table side. i used to detest the sight of liverpool simply because we had to face them in almost every competition all the time. as they say, familiarity breeds contempt.

That too, the Jose vs Rafe battles heated it up even more.

Sorry GC but this just isn't true. Both sets of fans love to antagonise each other, especially since Benitez and that CL rivarly we picked up. The amount of hassle I got from Liverpool fans before the FA cup final about us being a "plastic" club with no history was unreal. I've gotten an easier time from ****** Arsenal fans!

Then you wonder why Liverpool fans have a go at you Chelsea boys. Any need for that comment? Was it in relation to anything said on the last page or two of the thread at all? No.

Its the Chelsea Thread.

its not like I have gone on the Liverpool Thread and posted it saying "**** you all, go chelsea!!!!!"

Was there any need for you to reply?

Looking forward to the game tonight, ESPN bonanza starting with the Liverpool game at 11:30, and then the Chelsea game at 1:30... I have an unlimited supply of Jaffa cakes and some Coca Cola to keep me awake :)

really interested to see how people see oscar fitting into the system? we've gone from having literally no creative or little players up front to what would appear to be a ridiculously fluid midfield. is oscar a lampard replacement? where does ramires fit in as I thought he was one of our best players last season, he was consistently good even when played out of position
also, on chelseatv they keep going on about us needing a new striker, but we don't appear to be linked with too many and does anyone else not see daniel sturridge as the answer because I personally really don't like seeing him play on the right wing.

Yes i think in time he will be Lampard's replacement i.e coming from deep to get assists and goals. I think he will play along side Mikel get the ball, pass it and then move forward to want the ball again to create something further up the pitch. On Ramires he was sensational last season on the right wing and deserves that slot again this season. In a 4-2-3-1 it is the only position that suits Ramires so its either there or nowhere and he is too good to leave out in my opinion. Totally agree on Sturridge too, just because he has an ounce of pace about him he is slung out wide. He is and always has been a striker, play him there and i have no doubt he will score goals. I think we will sign another striker but only if Lukaku goes out on loan.

RT @daspecial_1: #CFC Starting XI, via @MLS: Hilario, Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Cole, Benayoun, Essien, Lampard, Marin, Ramires, Lukaku

Chelsea Subs: Turnbull, Ferreira, Chalobah, Luiz, Meireles, Malouda, Mikel, De Bruyne, Hazard, Piazon

20 min, Henry cross failed to be cleared and it falls nicely to Wondolowski 1-0 MLS

There are usually 3 players who come and save us in hard times - Drogba, Lampard, Terry. Well, there are only 2 now.

Well done JT!

Even though Marin is way more effective on the flank, still did well. Amazing player to have. I hope I dont regret saying this.
