You are so rude!!!!!

A very nice video on Skysports about the Chelsea's Youth Set-Up and their aims/objectives/culture... Link is here

Thibaut Courtois will be playing in the Super Cup against Chelsea. Chelsea Goalkeeping coach Christopher Lollichon requested it which is rather strange.

He has some weird training routines too which Cech says he enjoys a lot. Maybe it's something he believes will help Courtois.

Oscar and Luiz staying together till Oscar gets settled. Good stuff from Luiz, helping others settle in.

Please don't say Piazon is still living there too!!!! All 3 of them together!

Ha, no! Lucas Piazón's family moved to England, so he moved back in with his family. But, I think David Luiz lives with about a 1000 Brazilians. I watched a video and there was like 5 people making him food, then there's a few Brazilians that always hang around with our Brazilian players, and basically go wherever they want, so I think they might be with him, and now Oscar and his wife! I doubt they will be there long though. Maybe even David Luiz's girlfriend, but I'm not sure whether they're still together (she stayed in Portugal to finish her degree, but I think she finished last year). So, quite a few Brazilians (well, his girlfriend(?) is Portuguese, but still same language) there!

Anyway…

Would any Spanish speaker like to translate what Azpi says here? (around 23:25)

Does he say that he learnt English? Does he say anything about how good his English is?

Well his goalkeeping stats are 20 on FM if thats anything to go by ...

Also apparently he is very strict with Jamal Blackman and Courtois (when he came to Chelsea during the La Liga break to train) and gives them mighty tongue-lashings whenever they fool around or make mistakes

However he is more jovial with Hilario/Cech/Turnbull... jokes around with them according to what some people saw at the open training sessions in America

And yeah Courtois is a beast, had 23 clean sheets last season in his first season at a top league. This is despite not really having the best defence in front of him. Was a real steal for Chelsea at the price we got him especially if you compare to what Man Utd paid for De Gea. Going to be a world-class Goalkeeper one day. Even Cech said that he had not seen a better keeper

Wish the media would highlight our 'bargain' purchases more often such as Marin and Courtois. But I guess more papers sell if they brand Chelsea as Russian moneybags

No Marin for Sunday but both Oscar and Hazard are available.

And Mata although RDM said they would factor in a break for him this season... Seeing Oscar, Hazard and Mata on the pitch at the same time would be ****** awesome

OSCAR: FIRST WORDS[/h] Posted on: Fri 17 Aug 2012

Oscar completed his first Chelsea training session at Cobham on Friday, before sitting down for an introductory interview with the official website.

The 20-year-old is the latest arrival to the squad following his transfer from Internacional in his homeland, where his form earned him Brazilian caps and a call-up to the Olympic Games this summer.

A creative midfielder, Roberto Di Matteo has already intimated that Oscar could figure in this weekend's Barclays Premier League opener at Wigan Athletic.

Oscar, welcome to Chelsea, what are your first impressions?

I'm very happy to be here. It's a dream to be at a club like this, a club that is renowned around the world. I've never seen a club with such facilities, facilities so perfect to allow you to play at your best.

Does having Ramires and David Luiz here help you?

I know them well from the national team. It's very fortunate for me that they are at the club because it will really help me with my development in England and my adaptation to the country and also the football.

What type of a player should we expect?

In Brazil there is a different type of football, but I think I am seen as an elegant type of ball player, who is creating for another people. I may need to change a little bit over here, but I see myself as that sort of a player who can hopefully make a difference to the team.

We have signed some similar, exciting young players this summer...

It is not just these players that are exciting to me. There are many top players at Chelsea, ones that I have always seen on the television and that is what attracted me to the club. This is the vehicle that can help me improve my career, and I would love to contribute in a small way to improve Chelsea even further.

Your name is already well known here. Do you feel pressure with that?

I hope I won't feel any pressure, I am not feeling it at the moment. Back in Brazil when I broke into the national team, people were asking the same question, did I feel pressure at being the number 10 of the team, the new star, but I didn't feel pressure. I think it will be similar here, I am coming into a great team but I feel I can cope with it.

Here you are taking the number 11 jersey from Didier Drogba. That's quite a big pair of shoes to fill...

I understand the importance of this number to Chelsea. In Brazil it is the number 10, but here the 11 is a very important number and I just hope that I can do it justice.

After your experiences in the Olympics, what do you think of the English stadiums and crowds?

The stadiums I have played in so far have been outstanding. Newcastle, Manchester United, both these were fantastic, and I can't wait for another great stadium at Stamford Bridge, where I expect the atmosphere to be even better.

How well do you know the Premier League?

I know quite a lot about it, it is televised in Brazil and so I have seen lots of games.

Roberto Di Matteo says it is possible you could feature on Sunday against Wigan...

I am really happy that the manager is already thinking of me and putting me in his plans. I feel I could do well if I am called upon on Sunday because I have been playing regular games and am in a good rhythm. I am ready to go.

Do you feel it could take time to adapt a little on the pitch?

I am hoping it will not take too long to adapt. There is a multinational team here with other Brazilians and Latin players, not just an English team or league, so they will help me through their past experiences and so I hope it won't be too much of a problem.

And you have already started English lessons?

Yes. I am very keen to do English and learn as soon as possible. I cannot just rely on people speaking to me in Portuguese. It is important on the pitch but also off the pitch so that I can live my life in England.

-Hopefully there will be a video as well.

OSCAR: FIRST WORDS

Seems like a really humble fellow of the pitch. No noises. No talk. Just goes out and plays. The anti-Hazard if you like. For some strange reason, I am more excited about Oscar than any other signing.

According to ESPN.. We have had an enquiry for Javier Hernandez rejected. Thoughts?

Yup me too. I really want to see Mata Hazard and Oscar on the pitch at the same time. I'm buzzing.

Well, he is a super sub for Man United, so would be good backup for Torres, but not bothered that the enquiry was rejected as he can only play ST. A Hulk-esque plyer would be good.

Would be considerably cheaper than Hulk though .... I feel that the reason why Chelsea are interested in Moses/Schurrle is primarily to play them on the wings. I doubt Chelsea ever seriously considered Moses/Schurrle for the CF role. What I am getting at though is that perhaps we may buy Hernandez, Moses and Azpilicueta.

Fee would come under 30-35m pounds. We will get three excellent, young players.

I like this transfer tbh... Makes a good deal of sense. Hernandez can provide cover for Torres which we lack and then take over when Torres starts to decline which not really that far off (4 seasons probably)

STAY AWAY FROM LIL P!

Amazing player, had a rough interrupted second season but his natural goal-scoring instincts and he is a handful for anyone, I would hate this from a United perspective, but I can see why Chelsea would want him, but I doubt you will get him, Fergie rates him very highly and I think he is happy at United.
