I can bet every single penny I have to my name that he was not racist to Mikel. And when it gets found out to be a load of **** then Clattenburg will sue Chelsea and not only that but the FA wont be happy. Chelsea football club has terned into an absolute disgrace

You'd be taking an awfully big gamble. It's also disrepectful to call Chelsea a disgrace without having all the facts. It's very wrong to pre judge anyone in this scenario, its not as if there is a video of it.

If Clattenburg was racist the 4th offical would have heard, 1 linesman would have heard and another linesman would have heard. If he was racist it would have come out by now

Wrong, it wouldnt have been released to the public. They would have been told to keep counsel until the investigation, which will interview all the staff, has finished taking place.

How can you say Chelsea arent a disgrace? Not just this but did you see what they did to Terry for being racist to Ferdinand?

First off they have done nothing wrong here. Secondly you could also point the finger at the FA for taking 12 months and not having stronger tariffs.

I agree with the FA. The only reason it took 12 months was because of the Euro's. For Chelsea to come out and say they are completly against all forms off racism takes the **** after doing virtually nothing to Terry. Remeber Cole shooting someone on work experiance? What happened to him? Then a youth team player sets off a smoke bomb and gets sacked... If it was a youth team player found to be racist he would be gone.

On the FA note as well they should be ashamed as well. 4 games for racism? I could get more if I was a manger for telling a ref to **** off.

Chelsea gave a whopping fine to Terry, banned a fan for life for abusing Drogba, will no doubt find the moron from the pic abusing another player. They are trying to get rid of this sickening cancer in football so I do think it's a bit harsh on the club. Personally I still think they should have also stripped the captaincy but that's a seperate issue as it's a personal thought. But they are trying to do something about it. They've done a **** of a lot more than UEFA will ever do put it that way

Actually it turns out the FA could have taken action long before the Euros, and they had the power to prevent him from going to the Euros. As for Cole, players do stupid things, like drive to fast etc, they dont all get fired.

They could have done more, but they have done a lot more than the organisation said to be leading the fight (UEFA).

Agreed. May see if the NHS can provide Platini with a spine

The FA are a disgrace. Chelsea are a disgrace. The FA are corrupt. Boxing is corrupt. FIFA is corrupt. UEFA is corrupt.

I didnt mean i agree with the FA i mean i agreed with your point on the fa lol.

His fine isn't really huge if you think about it though. I mean yes, when you consider football associations are fined about 10k when their fans are racist it is, but if you think that a fine has to be a message and a deterrent to the player then it has to be related to salary. For most people you'd be paying legal costs + opponents costs + whatever the 'penalty' is, and in the case of most employers, the fact you've been accused and prosecuted and let off on a technicality would likely void you for employment under internal employer rules, and were you incarcerated you'd still have to pay to maintain your assets etc. If you view what was effectively two weeks fine as all it was, then it was rather meagre.

If you look it another way, it was two weeks wages he was fined, effectively. I realise its difficult to forget the sum is thousands of pounds, but if you consider a punishment actually has to punish the individual, has to act as a deterrent.. then really how significant is this? It may have been the largest fine thus far, but what does that mean in terms of punishment? If I am found guilty of inappropriate behaviour, assuming I'm a hedge fund manager or somesuch, and my employer fines me 1m for racism it may be the largest fine ever for racism, but for me, it's just a drop in the ocean as I'm paid upwards of 30m a year (in the case of that particular role).

Do you see what I mean? Punishment has to actually hurt the individual, otherwise it's just this ridiculous situation where you try to imply that a 'huge fine' which would bankrupt many people was actually a harsh punishment, yet it was undoubtedly not. Looking at current earnings, sponsorships etc, you'd probably have to increase it by a factor of 10 to actually be significant enough to warrant such a breach in behaviour.

Well, think it's now going to be a case of wait and see, as the government is now involved and are pushing for harder action in these circumstances

Ever gave thought how disrespectful your actions were to Ferdinand? Do you not see how it perfectly mirrors what you did?

That's the point of the banner, you cant have it both ways. For you to call its disrespectful or cuntish, is to tacitly admit the actions of the Chelsea fans were the same.

Right so you have to stoop down to our level yeah? Fact is that displaying the banner was stupid and idiotic...

I could point to plenty of cases whereby first-team players have been let off on lighter punishments that they should have been by their clubs. Stop being so narrow-minded

Agree with you completely although if they had fined him say.. 1-2 million a ****** huge precedent will have been set and thereafter, every major club will be castigated if they did not do the same to their own players if their players were to get embroiled in such matters. Still though I would totally admire any club who go ahead and fine players in relation to their salaries.

You've missed the point entirely. Its a **** take on your blind support. We still dont know either way about the allegations. Terry was caught on video and you still harassed Anton.

I haven't made any view on this, I'm merely highlighting the two faced nature of your outrage.

Perhaps next time, your and others will think about blind support. Now you are saying it was stupid. Where was this outrage in the last 12 months? Excuse me while i don't get all humped up.

Are you now going to pointedly admit the flaws in chelsea's stance for the last 12 months, based on your current outrage?

Your opinion is one that mirrors the ones of most football journalists right now who feel Chelsea made this complaint out of spite and revenge etc. for Clattenburg's poor officiating performance which cost us the game.

Obviosuly all those 'Journalists' fail to mention how Chelsea actually hired independent lawyers to rigorously interview the Chelsea players involved to ensure that these serious claims were backed up by sufficient evidence before they made an official complaint to the FA. It was also another reason why Chelsea FC. have only accussed Clattenburg of racially abusing Mikel and have dropped the part of him insulting a Spanish player due to lack of evidence.

Also I doubt the club would make such a serious complain simply out of spite especially at a time when it is working hard to rebuild its reputation after the Terry racism saga and present a better image to the public. So yeah this Clattenburg racism saga looks pretty serious to me since the club have decided to press ahead with the charges...
