Cole wouldn't be staying if we had a manager in place to completely rebuild the team.

To be fair though, Cole can still do the job for another year or two. Not to mention his understudies in PVA and Bertrand are not really prepared to assume the starting role. I don't really think their is any link between the managerial position and Cole's contract saga.
