For me this is classic cutting off your nose to spite your face. Its frankly all a bit pathetic. So what happens if the fans persist in making things more difficult and you end up 5th? congratulations Chelsea, you showed your passion into ending up outside the CL places.

He's not even a permanent manager anyway! He's leaving at the end of the season. Where is the logic in hurting your club when you get him out anyway

Not that it bothers me, rather than backing a manager who could actually turn this side in a huge threat to my club, i'm watching a pantomime unfold

So in your opinion its the fans fault for the poor results?

No, all he is saying is that fans are not making it easier for Rafa

The fans aren't making it easier as much as they arn't making it harder. Its irrelevant what the fans chant and has had no effect on the team or manager.

No sorry but it does. It would certainly make a whole lot more difference to the team if fans actually started to back Rafa.

QPR at home no anti Rafa chants at all, in fact there was no chants at all. Booing came after the final whistle as you know we lost 1-0. Southampton away anti Rafa chants very vocal as were the fans for 90mins team won 5-0 putting in a brilliant display. Swansea first leg SB like a morgue until Torres came off where boos started but damage was already done. Southampton home no booing or anti Rafa chants 2-0 up at half time threw it away what because of the booing because there was none? In a nutshell chants and anti rafa chants are far more vocal away from home where results have been much better. Its an easy thing to blame and another thing which takes blame of the manager.

But football isn't rational, it's emotional. The rational decision is to say "**** this guy, but I need to give him an easy time to help my team." Football fans aren't going to do that though, they're going to say: "I remember what this guy did, what he said. I hate him. **** him. I don't want him anywhere near my club."

Right and you wonder why Roman isnt listening to the fans. If you cant make a logical/rational decision, why should he pay attention? Football isnt just pure emotion. Why is it that we hold everyone but the fans accountable. Fans what to have a greater say in their clubs, then fans need to think as well as feel.

Fans cant have their cake and eat it.

This in a nutshell.

Look no one is saying love him, or even like him. Just back him till he is gone. Acting in this manner isnt helping you club, its actually hurting it, and if Chelsea fans cant see or understand that, then more fool them.

You'd think they would of learnt this from playing against Rafas Liverpool in 2005.

Peoplu underestimate the boost of a good support, and the impact of a negative one. It does get to players, much as they try to shrug it off. Players often come out and admit it

So i guess this is another 5 pages of CJACKO11 bashing Rafa's alleged mistakes, even though all his complaints have been teared apart over and over again in this very thread?

Yes, in a nutshell.

Like i pointed out earlier the anti rafa chants have had no effect on the side as they are far more vocal away which is where we have played better. any legitimate response to that?

Not at all, i have an opinion and they have their own whoes to say who is correct? They think Rafa is brilliant and has done no wrong but i do.

Yes, in a nutshell.

You really are getting smug which i didn't expect from yourself. Your coming up with reasons why you think Rafa has done no wrong and i have answered them with legitimate answers why i think he has done wrong. But of course you are correct.

I've never said he has done no wrong. But you openly criticise him on things that just are not backed up. I think its fair to say I'm not the only one who has pointed this out.

And you avoided mine, we played much better with this same set up under Di Matteo? Different managers, same players, same set up with different results!

Actually, I never answered yours because I was busy waiting for an answer to the question I have asked over and over again for a long time now.

Firstly, Di Matteo didn't have to contend with the ACON. Secondly, as I said earlier, it's not that Chelsea are playing worse, it's that the other teams around them have stepped up and are playing better. Spurs' early season form wasn't as good as their current form. United and City have stepped up and begun to pull away from the pack. Also, plenty of auxiliary reasons: injuries, fatigue, and so on and so forth.

But besides, this is totally ******* irrelevant. Comparing Di Matteo favourably to Rafa doesn't make Rafa a bad manager, nor does it make Di Matteo a better one. What you're saying is that Rafa's useless, which isn't true. Unless, of course, Di Matteo is only slightly less useless, since his record this season is only marginally better?

Now, I've answered your question. Please answer mine. How is Rafa tactically inept?

The premier league should implement the 50+1 rule that Germany have. Therefore the fans can have more of a day and there won't be a majority shareholder anymore.

Good luck to Chelsea if that happens...

You would probably think I am crazy but I honestly feel someone like Mauricio Pochettino would not be the worst candidate for the Chelsea job...

He had an excellent couple of seasons at Espanoyal where they were predicted for relegation each time yet he managed to make them stay up comfortably before being prematurely sacked.

He played some really nice Barcelona-esque football there which Pep Guardiola acknowledged. Not to mention he brought through several youth team players and did well with them. Quite young for a manager as well.

As I said earlier, the rate at which we go through managers means its really the unproven/unemployed for us and this guy is surely worth a punt??

Chelsea should go for Marcelo Bielsa, for entertainment value alone.
