If Ba wants to make it at a "big club", he needs to deal with rotation. Next season its more likely that another striker will arrive.

Does he though? If that was a Newcastle shirt wearing Ba he is walking away with the match ball mate. Strikers need stability and i actually wanted Torres to start Sunday because of how he ended the game Thursday as i thought it was something he could build on. Most top sides rotate i agree but most top sides still have a striker who is the main one and plays majority of games alla RVP.

Ba is not going to be Chelsea's leading striker if the club has their way, simply because they will want to get a "star player". And you cant afford to miss those chances. The pressure and expectations are higher and he must adjust to them. He is going to ahve to learn to maximise peformances in fewer minutes under more pressure.

Indeed. I guess ideally they'd want to have two rotating star strikers and 3rd one who is more of an late game impact type, Solsjkaer/Hernadez type if you will.

Dilemma for those not fond of Rafa;

There have been a few whispers that Alonso won't be extending his Real Madrid contract, and rumours linking him with a move back to Liverpool this summer as a result. Would you tolerate Rafa in charge on a two year contract, with it guaranteed that Alonso will come to Chelsea or Rafa gone in the summer and sign someone with 1/3 of Alonso's ability?

I would say maybe techniqually maybe but not even that. Mata and Zola to name a couple much better techniqually than Robben. The thing about Robben i was thinking the other day was that i think we got the best out of him? There are so many names in front of him though for greatest player for the club so many.

Beagrie's answer: Watford's Nathanial Chalobah, who can play at centre-half or centre-midfield is someone I would put in the England squad now. He is elegant, athletic and has a great temperament, while he has also excelled at all international age groups he has represented; he reminds me of a young Yaya Toure in that he can influence a game from any position. He is THE outstanding talent in English football and could POSSIBLY replace Frank Lampard in the Chelsea's engine room next season but will DEFINITELY play for England.

My god Twitter is going mad today about Jose coming back! First of all a youth coach at Porto tweeted a picture of Stamford Bridge with the tag "Jose's next job". Then Chris Cohen who has worked on Chelsea TV doing some silly stuff (remember the mock up song "Fernando") for Torres when he signed, that was him. He tweeted saying he has been told be people who are as reliable as it gets. Then some lad on my Twitter says he knows its a done deal and Lampard's new contract is a done deal aswell and the reason he knows this? Well first of all he said he works at Cobham but then told someone else he is working at Jimmy Bullards house and Bullard lives a few doors down from JT and JT told Bullard so Bullard told this lad! Then to top it off Jose was pictured in London today shopping in Harrods. The worst thing about all this is that even though there are many stories here all pointing to the same thing you just still cannot believe it lol.

I'd probably say more Toure than Lampard in terms of game play and physicality. No where near Yaya's standard of course but who knows one day?

Just to add something further to does rumours, Abramovich apparently tries to tempt Mourinho with expensive gifts. I would like to see Mourinho back at Chelsea and getting the most out of Lukaku's talent.
