None of that is true. Saying he can't cross and he offers little with the ball at his feet goes against half a decade at various levels of English football. I've watched - and indeed on occasion played with - Vic for years now, and that just isn't true. ****, even if I just take last year's stats for some solid evidence, a quarter of his attempted crosses found a target. The year before it was slightly lower, at around 20%. The year before that it was around 30%.

I could make the same argument about Torres scoring in Liverpool or Atletico. But he cant score now, can he? Its not even up to debate how productive Moses is. The stats show it. He has whooping 0 assists, 2 goals, there are fullbacks in PL who are more productive offensively.

None of those figures suggest someone who 'can't cross'. What it does suggest is that there's something drastically wrong at Chelsea to make him fall so far beneath his previous crossing figures.

How come the "things that are drastically wrong at Chelsea" aren't stopping Hazard, who happens to play on the wing at the same club, and somehow completely trumps over Moses in all the key stats?

Besides all this, I thought on the whole he played alright against Southampton. He made Shaw run hard in defence, got back well to cover, took a couple of shots and went on a dribble or two. He was certainly better than Oscar, who made pretty much no impact whatsoever, and (although it rather goes without saying) Torres, who couldn't be ****** to move half the time.

Like i said, Moses does work hard and offers a lot tactically, in terms of opening more options in the final 3rd and so on. But nothing ever comes out of his travels on the flank.

Thats still dreadful. Lack of targets does not completely explain all those balls fired into no man land's. Guy just plain cant cross.

Yeah i know what he offers tactically , but he's really ineffective with ball at his feet.

I'd imagine he was given green light by the board to still try and take FA/EL as seriously as possible. The whole "CV grab" theory is just a fan-fiction, any manager would be fired instantly If the board would think he has his priorities wrong.

That would normally be true but this is Chelsea. If the club sack Rafa now then they are saying to the fans "we were wrong" and they can't do that.

I rarely post on Rafa's topic as it is too much of a **** to be involved in but this is spot on imo.

I knew this would happen, he wants his cv to be impressive so he couldn't give monkey's if you finish 4th or 5th as long as he wins 2 cups this season. Domestic and European cup winner will add lot to his cv than finished 4th with Chelsea.

With the team selection I thought it was obvious that he is prepared to take risk on CL spot for FA cup.

Also his rivalry against Fergie. He doesn't want to field weaker team at all. It would be hilarious if you lot finished just outside 4th say with one point ;) (and obviously losing FA cup)

(Btw I really wish you or Newcastle and Spurs go on to reach europa finals. By the latest coefficients PL can drop to 3rd behind Bundesliga as next season they won't consider 2008-09 coefficients where PL had 2.5 points lead on Bundesliga, now with 2 Bundesliga teams in CL we need Chelsea, Spurs and Newcastle to go as far as possible in Europa.)

Its a joke mate! If me a random guy can see this then why can't the club? They can't do anything now because they will look stupid.

Well he took part in a live phone on on CTV Thursday and he was asked this question and he said he is called Azpi in the dressing room. The name Dave came from fans who couldn't pronounce his name, its not even that hard to say for ***** sake! It does annoy me i must admit.

So I got April fooled on March the 31st.

You could make the same argument, sure, but it'd be retarded given that Torres is in his prime and has a long history of production. Moses is still relatively new, and he isn't getting played week in week out like he likes.

Because Hazard's amazing? I'm Vic's biggest supporter, but even I'm realistic enough to know that he won't reach Hazard's level. Moreover, Hazard's been given a proper run of games and has a lot of confidence, which can't hurt.

Apart from against Swansea away, where he was the best player on the pitch. Or Shakhtar, where he came up with a late winner. Or against Sparta Prague, where he produced an excellent all-round performance.

He's showing flashes of brilliance, but he needs to mature and develop in a stable environment. Everywhere he's played beforehand he's been top dog, the big guy, and I think he just needs to change his style to become a proper team player who can effect a game without having to be constantly on the ball and in the box.

We still want him out. Not sure what that has to do with today's win. You cannot sacrifice Champions League football for FA Cup.

I thought Ramires and Mikel were class in the pivot today. Mikel had 5 interceptions to go along with his 90% pass accuracy.

Hopefully the U19's can bring home the NextGen series later on today as well, really interested to see Ruben Loftus-Cheek and how he gets on.

What a keeper. Ridiculous some rate Reina and De Gea above him.

Probably because De Gea has been pulling off world class saves like that almost weekly, and is nowhere near as error prone as the media would have you believe.

Very impressive performance today Ba lead the line well and scored a beauty. Performances like this though make me wonder if we could perform like this most weeks in the premier league we could have been right up there competing with Utd for the title right now instead of fighting for a top 4 finish.
