I wonder what happened to all the Michael Laudrup rumours? I would have thought that with his style of play and recent success with Swansea, he would be a hot favourite to take over. Not to mention his past as a player would mean he can easily command the respect of the dressing room and would less likely be bogged down by the big 'egos'

He openly stated he had no intention of leaving Swansea, and was a bit critical of the Chelsea handling of managers.

Sighs, he would have been a good option. If we keep sacking manager at this rate, only the unproven or unemployed will consider us

And if he thought things have changed here is a club allegedly close to signing Andre Schurrle without a manager for next season!!!! Not a chance he is coming back, not having it!

How do you know a manager isn't behind this signing? Considering Schurrle is a typical Jose player, who has a high work ethic and is able to fulfil a tactical role.

Targeted under AVB, bids made under Di Matteo, will probably be signed by the interim one, and will play under someone else entirely.

Yeah saw a tweet like this earlier, Chelsea Football Club ladies and gentleman!

You really think the Chelsea board are that smart? Also cannot see Jose or whoever else saying yes already and advising his next club on who to sign, just doesn't work that way.

He was supposed to arrive the following summer for AVB (along with moutinho) as targets, then he got sacked. Chelsea did make at least one bid under Di Matteo. and of course Rafa is gone in the summer.

I have no doubt that managers do have some say in targets because we would never have signed Romeu because he was AVB's target. But the club do seem to make majority of the decisions themselves and i absolutely hate that! ****** me off so much! I rate Schurrle really highly but he will play wide left, a position which Hazard plays his best on and Moses too. A position which De Bruyne also plays in!

Given the way the club goes through managers, its totally understandable that there is movement without managers at times, otherwise there would be too much standing still. Not ideal, but better than not making transfers.

Then again you have to question who's fault it is for the sacking of managers lol.

Asked how he would describe his relationship with Terry, Bernstein admitted: "A little distant."

Well to be fair if Essien comes back and Romeru recovers , deep midfield doesn't look so bad, at least there's two half-decent pivot pairs (Romeru+Essien/Mikel+Ramires) and there's still Ake. Meanwhile Yossi and Malouda are leaving, so you need some extra depth upfront.

Lol love it! JT snubbing a handshake, he's not used to being the one doing to snubbing lol.

Chelsea FC ‏@chelseafc That's a third FA Youth Cup final appearance in 4 years for the Blues, who will face Norwich at Carrow Road in the first leg on 29th April.

Absolutely sensational over two legs! Baker ****** me off! How two footed does he want to be lol, never known a player who takes free kicks with both feet before!

That's nothing, JT takes penalties no-footed.

These handshake dramas are getting old. Its pathetic that nonsense like this keeps getting media coverage. Top sport story of the week, two adults didn't shake hands. If I had to accurately describe just how much I do not care, I would have to write a large book.

Loved seeing that this afternoon. Amazed he said that with a straight face.

What's happening to Schurrle deal? Rudi just confirmed there was talks and that was it. Is it going to happen?
