Retaining a top 4 spot is essential to ensure our transition progresses well and we can recruit the players we want. A trophy midweek would be nice but I really can't be bothered
 
What a sensational day in the potential future and the history of Chelsea Football Club. Champions League football secured for next season but even better than that..... All of us here should feel proud that we were alive when Frank Lampard became Chelsea's all time top goal scorer. That felt as good as winning the Champions League without a doubt. Gutted as **** for JT and Hazard as both will miss Wednesday. As **** as this season has been that Lampard moment has made this one of the best seasons without a doubt! SUPER FRANK 203!

I will end on saying credit to Rafa today, got all subs absolutely SPOT ON.
 
It would be nice if the Chelsea fans show some class and do some banners to show some appreciation for the work he has done. Came into the club mid-way through the season into a club in a crisis. Had to deal with fixture congestion. Had to deal with negative fan support, some of it unjustified. Had to deal with an imbalanced squad. Got us a Top 4 spot and into a European Final

Thanks Rafa. I doubt I could ever like you after the history you had with Chelsea but you have my respect.

Exactly. He can go out with the goal that saved our season, like Drogba went out with the goal that won us the Champion's League. If I was him, I would just go out on that massive high.

I am with Ray Wilkins with this when he says he has done "okay" i won't thank him or slate him when he goes i will just let it happen.
 
I can't say Rafa has done a stellar job but he has done a good one in my opinion considering the environment he was working in and the circumstances he came under. It would show class of the Chelsea fans show some appreciation in his last game versus Everton

The majority have no class, you can't just turn that on when you want to, when the penny finally drops and he is successful. I'm not a big fan of Rafa but he has managed the squad really well over a tough period, and once again proven his credentials. I'd be very disappointed if he took over at my club, but then we would never hire someone like that anyway. The anger should have been focussed towards Roman not Rafa.

I was rooting for Villa today but had to cheer when Lampard scored. The second sent tingles down my arms, such a fantastic moment for an absolute gem of a player. Congratulations Frank. Forever a legend.

I would say good job. Not great, but good. 7/10. I think what should annoy Chelsea fans is that, even just recalling a few players, it might have been more. Club needs to get a grip on that front.

Need to have one to show one. People on WAGHN will be still jerking each other off ranting about how Rafa does everything for his CV, because apparently trying to win trophies is somehow a bad thing.
 
Missed the game today but I ain't even too mad. Benteke apparently deserved to be off so that's fine, I'm just annoyed we couldn't make more of a game with it and keep 11 men on the field because apparently we were doing well.

I'm really pleased for Lampard though.

Every fan base has their moronic section. I am just hoping the same chelsea fans along us show some class and do something as simple as a banner to show their appreciation for Rafa

Don't believe he said that. You're not part of the moronic section just because you don't make a banner, that's not what he said. He was just hoping someone would be good enough to thank Rafa for his work.

But make him a banner? Maybe invite him to Chelsea Hall of Fame too?

Indeed. Not so sure about Turnbull, maybe we will still offer him a contract, because I doubt we will put Thibaut as a 2nd choice.

Lol, one banner is equivalent to Chelsea's hall of fame now? I don't even need to make the obvious disparagement of Chelsea fans there. :p

I've seen a banner which says "I like cookies" in a crowd before. It's hardly a ****** trophy.

Haha, this is why it would be hilarious if you can win Europa League.

I almost can't wait for the massive butthurt that will occur when people realise it means that Rafa's face will be on prominent display in club museum.
