Glad the deal is finally done and looking forward to see what he can offer us. If he turns out to be a good buy the man we have to thank is AVB!!!!

Tevez looks set to join Juventus. That's a guaranteed 2-3 goals a season against us gone :)

Why did we buy Schurrle? I haven't watched him much but isn't he a winger/striker? If we want Cavani so bad and can't buy due to FFP why are we spending money on him? Is going to play ahead of Mata, Oscar, Hazard? Torres, Ba?

if you think about it though we dont have many out and out wingers and if you look at the amount of games that we play a season he will get game time regardless

Mata, Oscar and Hazard all prefer central roles, or like to drift inside when being played out wide

Chelsea lack a winger and is a very good signing for me

Actually, correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Schurrle is more inside forward, rather then classic winger that hugs the chalk and constantly pumps crosses.

yeah i thought that as well considering he is right footed, unless jose plans on playing him on the right?

From what I understand that's exactly how he plays. Just like most of the offensive line, really. I thought Moses was pretty much your only classic 'run down the touchline & cross' winger.

Jeffrey Bruma has joined PSV on a four year deal but we have a buy back clause in his contract.

He is. In fact he's probably the most inside-forwardy inside forward in the world. He doesn't so much drift inside as sort of station himself there.

Unlikely, that's be like playing Valencia on the left. Possible, but utterly nullifying the player.

And that's why Jose should keep him. Offers something different.

Never recovered from the **** bruising his encounter with Heskey gave him. :D

The amount of times you have bought this up lol

Yeah starts out wide and always comes inside to get the shot off. I have a problem just for the fact that Hazard plays wide left much better than he does wide right so Schurrle will either be on the bench or Hazard pushed into a position i think he is half the player in.
