Benteke hands in transfer request shortly after rumours Chelsea want him. I personally wouldn't want him at the club no need when we have similar in lukaku.

Perhaps a little far fetched but wouldn't a deal involving Lukaku on loan to Villa plus cash in exchange for Benteke suit all parties? You'll probably ditch one of Ba or Torres next season anyways, clearing room for Lukaku when he returns.

We don't need Benteke, do we? We have Lukaku, very similar player. So I don't see why we would get him.

Hmm. Wouldn't expect it to be because of the transfer rumours, it's been like this all summer. Frankly if Chelsea want him it wouldn't be worth the - exorbitant - price, since we value him at around £30 mil and we've got a track record of holding on for every last penny.

I imagine he's sat in a dark room deciding between the knife or rope.

Neither. We signed Helenius and have Weimann. Benteke wants out, then cheery-bye and thanks for the 20+ mil.

Had a feeling a while ago the Schwarzer deal would/should happen so i am absolutely delighted. No fee, no risk 100% sense. Are we sure this is a transfer conducted by Chelsea?

Chelseas transfers the last few windows have been way to sensible considering what we are used to! Expecting a 30 million bid for Milan baros soon to even it out :p

Very happy with this deal. Schwarzer is a good goalkeeper, good pro and experienced head. I think that since we can't get a striker, we should concentrate all our efforts into getting a world-class midfielder and young centre-back. Would round the team off nicely

Or a Scolari type Drogba straight swap for Adriano deal lol.

Jose has confirmed Romelu Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne and Tomas Kalas are all in his first team plans this season.

Apparently we are still in the running to get De Rossi. Roma have agreed a deal for his replacement Strootman. Apparently they want £11m and James Wallace on loan. De Rossi would be awesome for our midfield, him and Van Ginkel would really round it off nicely. Also with Kalas staying, I assume that's the end of our search for a young CB. Kalas is adequate depth though

If we get De Rossi I might put a bet on us for the league.

But I thought Jose doesn't care abou youth?

The whole thing with Jose and youth is absolute bollocks! Wherever he has been employed his objectives are to win things and quickly which normally means forgetting about the youth unless you have some wonder kid coming through. This is the first time he has a chance to actually build something so he will be able to use youth.

Sam Wallace says that Rooney is our priority target even though I doubt it will happen. That said Rooney is world-class and if we get him and De Rossi with Mourinho managing, I am puting a bet on us for the league as well

That is so not water.

Actually no. Roma are willing to sell De Rossi. Have so far managed to secure a suitable replacement in Strootman barring a late hijack and De Rossi will command high wages so for a potential club to take him on, Roma need to sell at a lower price

I am hearing we will get both De Rossi and Rooney.

How desperate would United have to be to sell Rooney to you? I find it highly unlikely.

11m? That's gotta be bollocks.

Considering how much he's paid, and that he's likely to demand around £10m a year, Roma will have to be negotiable with the fee. Although I'm surprised it's not closer to £20m

In what world do you think we would sell Rooney to you?

As much as I would like Rooney I agree just can't see utd selling to potential title rivals. Only players I can really remember being sold to potential title rivals are sylvestre to Arsenal who was nothing special and Veron to us who was dog ****. I can also remember few years back when you wouldn't even sell Heinze to Liverpool who wasn't exactly the worlds greatest player.
