Don't get all the angst here. He is one for the future. No different from the numerous youth talents the club has been stockpiling and sending out on loan, the benefits of which are being seen now

21 isn't necessarily one for the future at all. I think Atsu on one side with Hazard on the other would be your best pairing actually.

Mourinho is doing what i used to do on FM10 used to manage the team with the most money and just buy all the best players and sign all the players that Man Utd, Barca etc wanted ended up with like 10 strikers lol

The general consensus is that he relied on pace when in his last year at Inter he was one of the most technical and intelligent strikers in football. I guess people forget that

Even if he's half the player now he'll fit our system more than Torres/Lukaku
 
I wish we tried to sign Martinez from Porto. He would cost about 30m? Something like that. Maybe Eto'o is a stopgap and we are either a) going to sign someone next summer; or b) going to make Lukaku #1 choice.

I don't know. I stopped following Chelsea's logic. They lost me a long time ago.

I know, I'm just messing around. If you get him, despite all logic he'll almost certainly prove me wrong and be great.

Eto is a stopgap. We will most likely to back in for Rooney or Lewandowski next summer assuming things go well. Or maybe another striker will rise and hit world-class standards this season. You can never tell...

This is becoming increasingly unlikely as he wants a contract and it seems the club are inclined to offer him one, providing he knuckles down for good.

And you are NEVER getting Lewandowski.
 
I never said we are going to get them. All I said was we are going to try. A lot can change over the course of a season as well...

Rooney is likely going to get a long term contract in the near future, that prevents his sale except at a ridiculous price.

Lewandowski has had his final year wage bumped until he leaves on a free for bayern. Unless he changes his mind, or bayern decide they dont want him, no one is getting their mitts on him.
