So Lampard, Cole, Terry and Cech all out of contract in the summer if I am not wrong. Not entirely sure on Cech mind ... Personally believe only Terry will be offered a new contract. If Cech is out of contract then he will probably be let go. If not then sold in the summer.

Courtois will be recalled after the WC. He is more than ready and the longer we make him play second fiddle, the higher chance he will leave for another club. Probably go in for Shaw to replace Cole. Guarin if brought in this window would be a good replacement for Lamps along with the return of MvG

A good striker and CM would be other additions. Gundogan would be a great signing although we do need someone to replace Essien who is probably on the way out in the summer. Just can't cut it anymore

Why waste 20-30 million on a left back when we have Bertrand?

Hmm, I'm still unsure about this - I'm not sure if I can believe what Mourinho is saying (you said it yourself before, he's very good at mind games), it may just be something to please the fans. Especially considering his record, I think it's unlikely he's telling the truth.

Just because others are playing well doesn't make it any better Mata isn't playing, though. He's a quality player, as shown by his performances in previous seasons, and if you employed him in his proper role for a stretch of games, maybe he'd be even better than Hazard/Oscar/Willian - who knows? We all knew Hazard, Oscar and Willian were all top players before anyway, it's just it's obvious that so is Mata.

I wouldn't say Lukaku is certain to have a major role next season, many people thought he would have a major role this season due to his performances for West Brom last season, but it hasn't happened. I do think he deserves to play a role next season at Chelsea, but I wouldn't say it's certain.

Mata has had games this season in his position and has been quite average. Mata is the player he has to adapt to the managers way of playing not the other way around. Lukaku wanted to go on loan and last season he was a massive influence coming off the bench, this loan will help complete him as a player.

He doesnt need to. He is what he is, and he is brilliant this way.

I really hope we sell him, even for 10 mil, just to see him happy and playing. The guy is a role model.

Yes, he wanted to leave, but Mourinho didn't help by signing Eto'o. If Lukaku wanted to make it into the first team, he would've had to fight for one striker spot with three others - something which isn't the easiest thing to do! And if Mourinho really, really wanted to keep him, he couldn't said no and promised him first team football, it was clear after Eto'o signing that Lukaku wasn't going to play a 'major part' this season.

Would have had to fight for one striker spot with two others ... Jose only signed Eto'o because it's stupid to go into the season with only 2 regular strikers considering the amount of games we play, just look at West Ham. Plus at a top club, it's impossible to promise anyone anything. If Lukaku works hard and takes his chances, he will get games. If not, he will rot on the bench like De Bruyne. If a player wants to make it at the top level, they just embrace competition instead of running away from it like Lukaku although as I said, it's quite understandable as it was a World Cup year

Running away from it? Didn't he request the loan after Eto'o joined, which basically put him fourth in a team that only uses one striker. Wouldn't call it running away, more so looking after his own interests and making sure he plays football.

It didn't put him anywhere in the pecking order... He just had one more striker for competition along with Torres as Ba would have been loaned. You can look at it whichever way you want but at the end of the day, he was still afraid of competing and based on current seasons form of all 3, he would have probably established himself as first-choice anyways. As I said, I dont blame him for requesting a loan anyways

I'm just telling the truth.

Its just exhausting to come on here and read your cynical posts filled with criticism. Agreed that we are not the perfect club, no club is and we all criticize the club at one point or another but you seem to take it to another level really... If your username did not have Chelsea inside it, I would have easily mistaken you for a Scouser or Mancunian. Just my observation anyways

Ba wouldn't have been loaned, the whole issue was that you wouldn't loan Ba to Arsenal, so it was 4 strikers for one place if he stayed.

Even if that scenario developed, surely Lukaku still fancied his chances? He wasn't up against Rooney ... He was essentially up against a ?50m striker whose knees have up on him 2-3 seasons ago, a washed up 32 year-old striker from Russia and another striker who has had basically half a season worth of great form in the EPL

I'm about to commit suicide now. Thanks.

We will get more than that for him, the fact is as brilliant as Mata was for us we are playing far better the way we are playing now without him.

He requested a transfer actually after he missed the penalty in the Super Cup, little sign of not being mentally strong as a player. There was no doubt he still needed work and this loan deal will make him more the complete player.

and yet you brought im said washed up striker. I'd raise my eyes too if I was Lukaku, and definitely go on loan.

Gotta stick up for Nick Chelsea here, he might be a little extreme, but at least he actually looks at his club with more than one eye.

Far better? What do you mean? Creativity in the final 3rd worse than what we had previous seasons. So again, what do you mean 'far better'?

Oscar is nowhere near Mata in terms of creativity - FACT.
Without Hazard on the pitch we are struggling to penetrate - FACT.

Sorry to say but some of his posts are more than a little extreme

We are third in the table and 2 points behind the leader - FACT
We are still in the Champions League knockout rounds - FACT
Oscar may not be as creative as Mata but he has a much more rounded skill set - FACT
For the first time in 3 seasons do we still have a chance of winning the title in January - FACT

Can things be better? Absolutely. We could be 2 points better off and in the League Cup which shows how well we are doing anyways. The way you talk, one might think we were knocked out all of competitions and struggling in the EPL. Get a grip
