Exactly, and for a very good reason. He's ****.

Only been back in training for one day actually so wasn't fit. Chelsea have not had a prolific striker for years now yet still been very competitive and successful, its not a problem! Champions League winning year 2012 who was the main hero? Drogba right, 5 league goals in that year.

19 goals in 99 premier league games. That's a goal every 5* games.

Even at 42 goals in 154 apps thats only a goal every 3 and a half games, as opposed to his record at Liverpool were he had a goal every 1.7 games. He's played just over the same amount of games he had at Liverpool now, but only scored half the goals.

Yes his goal record isn't that bad for a striker but considering he was expected to keep it up, and considering he cost 50 million pound and god knows what in wages, yes he is a flop.

He never has been and never will be worth the money we paid for him, we paid it because we could simples.

You're really comparing what Drogba brings to a team with what Torres brings to a team?

No he isn't all he is saying that in 2011-2012 the season Drogba won us the champions league he was not a prolific goal scorer and that despite not having a striker scoring 25-30 goals a season for a few years now the club have still managed to be successful and win trophies.

All have been cups though ... The last time we won the league, Drogba was at his profilic best. I still doubt we can win it this time if Eto'o and Torres continue misfiring in front of goal. One of them needs to hit a patch

I don't think they do, if we couldn't win the league without a prolific striker then i don't think we would be top now.

You are right but 2004-05 and 2005-06 we never really had a goal machine up front and the goals were more spread out throughout the team quite similar to this season.

Lets see how long it lasts ... We can't keep relying on Hazard and Iva to knock in goals every game. One of our strikers needs to go on a run and we can win it with a few games to spare

But that team was an absolute deadly machine of football though where the majority of the players were in their prime. Probably one of the best footballing sides in the last decade ... Hard to compare this team to that

Hazard is becoming a player like Ronaldo/Messi. Yes no-where near as good as the mentioned but someone who will score on a very regular basis despite not being a striker. I'm pretty sure i heard Hazard has better stats at 23 in the premier league than what Ronaldo had for the same period of time.

That's a bit of a stretch tbh. Think Hazard has a long way to go before he can be considered in the same league as Ronaldo or
Messi ... Without a doubt his consistency and game in general has come a long way this season. Really excited to see how good he can be next season though

Lack of consistency was his main problem, but i'll say since the start of December when we beat Sunderland 4-3 away he has been very consistent. I said a while ago we have been blessed with some sensational players at this club but i believe Hazard could be on a totally different level. Already scored more goals this season than he did in 60+ games last season, huge improvement.

Agreed mate. Hazard is blessed with exceptional talent. Also it's remarkable how much improvement there has been under Mourinho. Terry looks like a totally different player. Others like Cahill, Hazard and Azpilicueta have moved onto another level since he has arrived. Mourinho is absolutely brilliant at player development

Ronaldo scored 42 goals in a season when he was 23 and world player of the year and was the most important player in ManUTd double winning season.

Maybe you mis-understood, i mean same period i.e first 2 seasons. I',m not saying he will be better or even on Ronaldo's level ever because he won't be. But i believe he will be close.

Yeah, I'm sure he will be a world class player and one of the best players in the world. Like you said from Dec he played some games. IMO he could be like Ribery, playmaking from left wing and scoring goals. He has great acceleration (both Ribery and Hazard) which gives them edge over any full back as they will either cut inside or from outside.

Btw, I wouldn't compare with Ronaldo though as he was 18 when he joined and was just a youngster, not something like Hazard who had years of professional career.

Btw, if Hazard reaches Ribery level, would you guys be happy or you guys think he has potential to become even better than Ribery?

Me personally, i think he has the potential to be better than Ribery and if he doesn't reach that level then its his own fault. I remember before he joined us Chelsea TV had an interview with Joe Cole when he was at Lille and he said this kid can be as good as he wants to be and he was right.

Torres back from injury, don't think anyone can stop us winning the league now
