Points tally we are 6 points off our final tally from last season, as Jose said 14 points and 22 points behind the eventual winners from the past 2 seasons the gap needed to be cut and it will be which is an improvement.

Because most of us knew we wouldn't be champions this season? This is no surprise whatsoever. Surprise would have been winning the title. So we're good.
So? You're supposed to be a club who expects to challenge for honours every single season. You won't see City fans writing themselves off because they have Demichelis in defence. You didn't see any United fans write themselves off last few years when we had a midfield of Carrick, Cleverley, Anderson, Giggs and big Phil Jones. You're a team who won the CL two years ago, and your squad is much stronger now than it was then, and you have Mourinho as manager who is supposedly as close a mortal has been to turning water to wine if you listen to the way Chelsea fans go on about him.
Being content to not win the league with 6 games left in the season when you've been top for so long is ridiculous, no matter who your striker is, especially for a supposedly ambitious club.
No? If we can push city all the way despite having no striker ... Imagine what will happen next season once we get a proper striker and the players have gelled and adapted to the way Mourinho wants to play. Things are looking pretty rosy right now rather than all doom and gloom as you suggest
We are being realistic. It was always City's title to lose. Chelsea depend too much on other results right now. But we have seen enough this season to be very optimistic for the future
Excuses shmexcuses. Wenger trophy last year and most likely Wenger trophy this year. But I guess its only funny when you're mocking Arsenal.
Its amazing just how easily brainwashed people can be.
Last year when Benitez finished 3rd this thread was up in arms about how Chelsea always has to challenge for trophies.
This year Mourinho said they're not challenging for trophies and half of fanbase just sheep-accepts it and goes " OK , we'll do it next year".
So? Realistically City had a way better squad than us last year, but you'd never hear Fergie coming out and saying "They're better, but there's always next year lads".
And Mourinho did say that but if you thought he was being serious then you are just being delusional. He only did that to ease the pressure on Chelsea. Cue all the Jose hate. Fact is that we did challenge for the title right till the end but at the moment, we are depending too much on other results so realistically the title is out of our grasp which is exactly what every Chelsea fan has been saying on this thread after the palace game
