Obviously Mourinho has got talent. He's a brilliant manager but nowhere near what he used to be. He failed at Madrid and for me hasn't dont too well this season at Chelsea. For me; he's gone stale, boring, and bitter.

Its because it is Mourinho that everyone automatically expects him to win trophies ASAP but as i said this is a totally different job. His time at Real was not as bad as people would think, he did win trophies and a portion of fans didn't want him to go and his name was even sung around the Bernabeu earlier this season.

Considering he had the 'best team in real madrid's history' then yeah that is pretty ****. (The words in bold are his own.)

The Madrid back staff were against him, UEFA are biased to Barcelona, God has a problem with him, etc etc.

All that does to me is just goes in my favor of the argument when people say "money guarantees success". Real spent hundreds of millions yet Barca kept majority of the winning.

omg this is like being back at school give it a rest

I miss school.

A few things to enjoy:

I'll post it here as the thought of red makes me puke on it's own. (Re ANOTHER stupid discussion going on in Scousers' thread).

When Jose came, he was clear about the aims we had at the start of season, which was to build a team for next year and then challenge on all fronts. That's why he always said City are favorites. I doubt it was anything like "mind games", you'll definitely not see him say that next season.

Was it a disappointing season for Chelsea? No. It was improvement. Was it a successful season? No, we aren't Arsenal to celebrate 3rd place finish. One could say we finished just about where we did last season so that's no improvement and Benitez wasn't horrible for us, now I'll address that.

We have young players, who with every year will improve and get more consistent. There has been tactical development, or so it was aimed although Jose reverted back to his good old tried and tested tactics after we shipped 7 goals in 3 consecutive games. (Sunderland 3-4 Win and Stoke 3-2 loss). There's no need to compare our season with Liverpool who have outdone everyone's expectations and it's good for them.

The reason why Chelsea fans are laughing at them bottling the title(despite bottling it themselves at one stage) is because of the hoo-haa going in media regarding Liverpool and Gerrard and how they deserve to win the title. It's also the barren spell and many largely don't expect Liverpool to challenge to this extent (not my opinion) and while we expect Chelsea to challenge even more so next season. Add to that the fact that Liverpool fans are so up their ****.

Why the neutrals are rooting for Liverpool

I know two Sunderland fans who said that their win was slightly marred by the fact that they might have just helped Liverpool win the title. (An answer to United fans judging the hatred of Chelsea fans despite them having more bitter and longer rivalry).

I'm sick of reading the same bullshit again and again and the comments of Chelsea fans on this forum have been taken out of context bajillion times now. None of us is "celebrating" this season, we just aren't disappointed because we, who follow the team constantly can see the evolution. Which isn't as much visible on stats sheet. And this evolution was what we needed along with managerial stability which has hurt us quite a lot.

Now regarding "Mourinho is ******* stupid, parks the bus yet Chelsea fans are so up his **** that they drool over whatever he does and says." and the main issue is his complaining about his strikers while Lukaku is scoring a good amount of goals at Everton.

There's something called tactical system, you know. Jose got Eto'o as makeshift striker as his pursuit of Rooney was unsuccessful (A striker with technical ability to play in tight spaces and link up, with off the ball movement to create space for AMs to score as well). Lukaku isn't that, that's why Torres started above him despite being 1/10th the player. Lukaku thought he'd be 3rd choice behind Eto'o and Torres so he asked to leave. This tactical reason is why Ba, who is better finisher than current Eto'o who always takes THAT one extra touch and Torres, hasn't played all that much.

Obligatory post about Mourinho being an **** and Chelsea fans being mindless bitter sheep currently.

Well said mate! I know many football supporters and the only ones who wanted Liverpool to win was the Liverpool fan i know and Pompey fans as they would have gotten 1 million. Its the arrogance that got to them and the media towards the end of the season believing it was destiny and that Stevie Me "deserved" a premier league title. As you say we most certainly are not celebrating this season but we can see progress, we finished 14 points behind the winners last season and 25 the season before that so this is an improvement no doubt about it. People seem to think Jose only said we were not favourites or he never expected us to win the league when we were actually top which is not the case. From his first interview which was on Chelsea TV only he stated on there that next season (14/15) we would be in a better position so lets judge him on that. I even predicted at the start of the season we wouldn't win anything and my main goals were 1) Top 4. 2) Closer to the eventual winners if not us and 3) The most important one, the same man in charge at the beginning of the 14/15 season!

As you state the reasons why we were so happy to see Liverpool slip up (literally) but as you well know the hatred runs far deeper than that. Reasons i won't post on here because it may cause WWIII or i may receive a ban lol.

John Swift showing people from Portsmouth can make it!!! Cole to captain us in what looks to be his last match.

Plenty of rumours going around that David Luiz has agreed a deal to move to Barcelona after the world cup.

Freeing up money for another big signing alongside a striker? Highly possible. We can buy a big striker without selling any player but Mourinho has been told by the board that he will need to sell if he wants to make any other big signing. And tbh, the rumour is quite plausible especially now that we have brought in Zouma ....

Plenty of chances. Can't convert ****. Hopefully the next competitive Chelsea game I see will have a proper striker playing for our side

I don't rate Luiz as a good defender, so I would sell him in order to fund another big signing.
