Great to see Van Ginkel getting some minutes under his belt. He can be a very useful player for us this season. Filipe Luis had a very decent game. The very thought of him and Hazard linking down the left is orgasmic

On Mohamed salah you have to remember he is currently fasting so it is going to be extra tough for him.

If Drogba was signed to help out Lukaku (if he stays), that this is probably his last chance to impress. One striker will leave for sure now. We don't need 4.

Actually I'd say four was the perfect number for a club of Chelsea's stature looking to challenge on all fronts, especially given Drogba's likely only going to play seven or so games (I'd imagine). The real problem is the third striker: you'd be looking for someone like a 28ish year old who's capable but not to the point where he's going to get pissy about not getting huge amounts of minutes, and preferably is both versatile and doesn't want much money. Handily Chelsea have Schuerrle if it really all goes to ****.

I know FM is not the real deal, but let me ask you this: when you start a game, and you decide to play a one striker formation, do you keep 4 strikers in your first squad?
On topic: It will be **** hard to please Costa, Lukaku, Torres and slightly less Drogba to wait for their turn. I just don't see it happening.

If I'm playing as a team that is going for four trophies and can afford it? Yes, most definitely.

Costa will be the main striker, Lukaku will be tricky but should get enough minutes to keep him happy, Drogba won't care at all and Torres... well who gives a **** about Torres?

A strikeforce of Costa, Lukaku and Drogba is a ******* nightmare for most central defenders I'd imagine

Mourinho explains why Chelsea let Manchester United snap up Luke Shaw - We Ain't Got No History

Been saying it for ages and got mocked and criticized. Finally what we knew all along ... United simply blew everyone out of the market with a huge and exorbirant wage packet for Shaw. Words from the horse's mouth

Pretty sure you didn't get mocked for that. You got mocked for saying no good players would ever come to us without CL football regardless of what else we offer, and that we'd struggle to attract Newcastle's players.

Haha nope ... No one was ready to believe me about Shaw and his huge wages despite all the logic until I provided a link. Well there you have it although obviously even this won't be good enough for certain people

a) Wasn't it just you and zzeezzy arguing for 168548 pages? Not 'everyone'.
b) Because Mourinho is renowned for being utterly honest in every word he has ever spoken in the media.
c) It just proves that, shock horror, when Uncle Roman is taken out of the equation, we're richer than you.
d) Why the **** do you care about his wages? He's playing for United, not you - that should be the bottom line for any fan. Why people persist on wanting to do Woodward's, Gourlay's etc. jobs is beyond me. Do people have nothing better to do than worry that an incredibly rich young footballer just got a bit richer?

And why is Mourinho turning it into a financial argument? Paying £20m for a 29 year old left back makes heaps more sense, obviously..

Was wondering when the 'Mourinho is a batshit liar' post will turn up ... Not exactly sure what the **** you mean by the Uncle Roman part. You will need to clarify that. Also i don't get why you are so concerned with what other people care about. If you don't care about the wages Luke Shaw is paid, that's completely fine but then why keep wading into the topic again and again?

It was 20m euros actually and yes it does, because Filipe Luis is a much better LB at the moment on far lower wages. Obviously you didn't read what Mourinho said because it's the wages that was the problem

Anyways I am really not in the mood to get into an argument. Just saying that some people refused to believe me when I said that wages was the main sticking point between Chelsea and Shaw and now that's obviously been proven. Obviously some people will happily come on here and say that Mourinho is just a liar even though in this instance, he has no incentive to do so and the logic actually supports him heavily
