But why has he aged 10 years in 3 months?

Like Van Persie said when he left Arsenal, sometimes you just have to follow that eager little child living in your heart and chase the dream. It worked well for RvP, which is why he still has the face of a 13 yr old boy desperately waiting for his balls to drop, but those bastards at Barca shattered poor Cesc's innocence. Now he's a broken shell of a man, an emotionless assist machine that will sell his soul to have his revenge.

So basically cocaine is the answer.

Holy ****. This is like a script for a movie trailer. Jeez. Well said.

I'm thinking something more along the lines of Star Wars.
-Talented youngster who shows prodigious talent? Check.
-Joins cult of do-gooders with holier than thou attitudes? Check.
-Fights beside army of identical warriors (La Masia Clones)? Check.
-Obviously talented but mistrusted: never fully accepted even with his immense skills? Check.
-Slowly ostracised until he has no choice but to take another path, turning his back on his past? Check.
-Betrays his old master for his chance at glory? Check?
-Joins the dark side, ruled by a manipulative figure who secretly controls everything from the shadows? Check.
-His malign master uses his immense power to build a new Empire? Soon, soon.

I'm totally cool with this if Diego Costa gets to be a wookiee.

Cesc was excellent today. Truth be told, I forgot what a brilliant player he is after he left for Barcelona. Genuinely world-class

20 minutes of sensational football sealed that for us and the rest was a stroll in the park. Slowing the tempo down helped us rest and took them out the game too as i think they prefered the quicker tempo.

Very good performance from the three new lads especially Fabregas. When i said he would be our best signing we have made in years i wasn't lying, the man is world class no doubt about it.

On to Saturday now, top of the league where i fully expect us to be come May. I am one very happy man tonight, football is well and truly back ladies and gents and we are all going to enjoy it this season

UTC!

Now I'm not sure who's the one taking cocaine - Fabregas, or you.

TBH, only half of Fabregas' transfer fee is repaid by his performance on the pitch.

The other half is the mass crying and anger from the Arsenal fans.

Meh, Arsenal have Aaron Ramsey. Have some sympathy for the United fans who have Darren Fletcher and the next best thing (arguably) from Spain, Ander Herrera. :(

After the week Palace have had, I refuse to have sympathy for ANY OF YOU.

Apart from Southampton fans. I feel their pain. #smallclubbrotherhood

Standard stuff mate, standard. Good to see him play well today actually after his average-poor showing in the World Cup.

Fabregas' pass was frightening to watch. Costa on form. Nice one Ivanovic, proving his worth in my fantasy team. ;)

The chelsea fans were singing about Stevie again. They're getting like the United fans!!

His dribble through the pack of defenders for the 2nd goal was exquisite. It was such a good team goal embellished with a moment of sheer genius from Fabregas
