He's an absolutely perfect fit for Chelsea. 27 years old, wants to win trophies, is fine playing second fiddle at a big club, excellent strike rate, can play on the wing. I expect good things.

I really like this signing tbh. Pacey, athletic and clinical. Versatile enough to play anywhere across the attacking band. Adds some variety into our attack. Would be very good competition for Costa as well

Now how about a cheeky deadline day £60m bid for Pogba :P

Also Destro remains a long-term target. I expect he will be disussed intensively next summer if Drogba's contract isn't renewed

So Torres officially completes his loan move to AC Milan. Van Ginkel looks like he will follow suit shortly. Remy has been officially signed. Probably won't be expecting any big surprises during deadline day. I reckon that's it for Chelsea this transfer window and it's been one of the best in recent memories for sure

I feel like I'll be rolling this out a lot

Our midfield is packed. No room for Pogba. I like the man too, but Juve's asking price of 70mil Euro (if we are to believe the press) is ridiculous. I think we are on the right track, and stopped overpaying for players, i see no reason why we should resume now.

I wasn't a big fan of my job anyway but as they got me working whilst we drummed in 6 goals at our bogey ground i was hating my job more and more with every goal! I also had company round straight after work a party of sorts but i was very unsociable for the first 2 hours as i watched the game from start to finish on my own while they all gathered in the kitchen.

What i loved was the intent from the off, 2 goals up so quickly we just shocked them and they didn't know what to do with themselves! But what a sensational pass by Fabregas to Costa for the 1st, this is the type of player we have been craving for since 2011! Some of our link-up play is just purely un-defendable at the moment and we seem to have everything going forward pace, power and creativity and i fear for the rest of the Premier League.

I think the thing which impressed me most was that maybe past Chelsea may have drawn or even lost that game especially as Everton seemed to have the bit between their teeth and they just would not lie down. But we kept calm after conceding and just thought "we probably could do with another goal lads" and got it, we seem to be able to score when we need to score. I have to give a mention to Jon Obi Iniesta's back heel to Costa for the icing on the cake, who knew he had that in his locker!

But the man i want to talk about in more detail is our Brazilian/Spanish new boy Diego Costa. When we signed him my Dad asked me what are we getting in him and i replied with, "someone who all opposition club fans will hate" I know some people won't like it but i absolutely loved his battle with Coleman! At the moment he is just about staying in the right side of the line, he winds up players but does not retaliate wen it all kicks off and then he is the one who ends up having the last laugh! Giving it to Coleman after he scored the own goal was absolute comedy genius, it got Everton wound up and not in a good way. Not only can he hold the ball up and get involved with other teammates attacks he also is an absolutely ruthless finisher around the 18 yard box, we may have finally found our #9 even if he is wearing #19.

And to cap off the weekend we sign Loic Remy which for me means signing wise i would not expect anyone else to come in as i believe our squad is more than complete. I had my questions about Remy more that he has failed 4 medicals in his career but when asked about this yesterday Jose said "i have my doctor and he says there is absolutely nothing wrong" so i'm happy with taking Jose's word for it. Welcome to the best team in London and home of the Premier League champions 14/15 Mr Remy

UTC!

I know i said it a million times now, but Obi "Wan Kenobi" is a very underrated player.

Here in Romania Eurosport broadcasts the PL, but for some reason, they did not show the Chelsea game, so i had to watch it yesterday. When you know the score, the thrill is gone, but ****, this game was amazing.

During the World Cup, i mentioned how Luiz defends better when he plays for Brazil, and some said that he partners up very well with Silva. I think it's safe to say, that JT brings the best out of Cahill too. When we signed him, i would never have imagined that he will turn out such a good deal.

I don't think Mikel is underrated tbh. He is a limited player who does his job all right. Maybe sometimes the criticism of him is exaggerated but even that has toned down in recent years. Matic is the player that Mikel should have become but didn't

True, but if we are to judge every defensive midfielder after seeing Matic play, then 95% would come out limited. Mikel should have emulated Makelele, but he lacks aggression. Not saying he is afraid, but he is not a mean machine either.

It's been stated in this thread recently, but I gotta say it again. Chelsea look to have the strongest team in the league (mentally, physically, depth-wise) it's all there. The way they came back after Everton kept drawing closer was impressive and in previous campaigns we wouldn't have had the resolve to achieve what we did on Saturday.

Worked really well pushing Fabregas into CAM and Ramires alongside Matic. The squad is so interchangeable that our opponents will struggle to adapt when we change things up during the game.

Ivanovic looks set to get double digits this season!!

Chelsea will be up there for sure this season. But still expect you to drop points. Great squad though!
