Not sure too much on the tactical side of things i think he upped morale more than anything but basically outplayed Barca over 2 legs.

Pretty much this. Can't do much in terms of tactics when taking over for half a year mid season.

Benitez was an absolutely fantastic manager for us. He had to manage a totally unbalanced squad that didn't have a CM or striker and was hilariously short on depth. He was never backed in the transfer market. He had to contend with the ire of fans every game whilst trying to devise a game plan in the middle of a season. Yet he got us Top 4 and won us the Europa League. It was honestly nothing short of a miracle

And this is coming from me who is more of a Mourinho zealot than most

Jorge Valdano has had some funny things to say about Mourinho bordering on insane any you guys seen them on my phone so can't link them in

Swansea, villa, arsenal, schalke and Bolton tickets booked with city and Maribor to be booked in the next few days. Not cheap supporting Chelsea is it haha!

Not at all cheap haha Last year went to about 20 games majority home games went to a couple away games (Man City away FA Cup and Liverpool away #SlippyG) travel to the bridge is a tenner for me plus ticket and food, beers etc. easily spend over £100 each game including the ticket, more than worth it though.

Thank **** for that.

I don't know it this was talked about and I missed it. What do you guys think of the new seeding style the UEFA discussed for next CL season?
Uefa considering Champions League seeding change - Goal.com

This season we would have probably been in pot 3. City would have been pot 1, and Arsenal pot3/4. Personally I think this is stupid. Yes, you won the national league, but you're **** in Europe, so why would you be rewarded for your progress in an entirely different competition?

Diego Costa has won player of the month and Garry Monk manager of the month. Both fully deserved.

I kind of agree/disagree with you here. Yeah he done okay i will accept that but he could have done so so much better. He continues to make the same errors during games which cost us so many points.

Massive for us, judging by his interviews for me he didn't look like he had accepted himself as a Chelsea player yet but this deal will settle him down i think.

Costa so far just been insanely good, 2 goals and a performance to match whilst allegedly having a hamstring problem away at Everton, wow!

When was the last time a Chelsea player won POTM? Hazard maybe?

Jose complained about this last season if you remember that our players especially Hazard were not getting the monthly awards they deserve. Last Chelsea player to win it was Juan Mata back in October 2012!!!!

In all honestly, considering the circumstances he had to work under, you can't be too harsh on him. Yes he could have done better but what he achieved with the squad that he had was still really good
