Who do we have for RB next 2 games? Assuming Azpilicueta got a 3 match ban, that is. I don't know how much he's out.
2 yellows is only 1 game so he will miss Shrewsbury on Tuesday but that will be it.
Just had a 7 hour shift to try take in that game and finally watched back the highlights. Is it possible to feel frustrated and content at the same time because i think that sums most of our feelings right now right?
Lets get the negatives out the way shall we, from my personal view this is the worst we have played this season and i don't even think we were that bad and on the flip side it was also the best Utd have played. On the Ivanovic red card who do we blame for it? I'd like to dig a little deeper and pin the blame on a number of people. 1) Azpilicueta, Jose was bringing off players who were booked, he could have bought Azpi
(if he didn't get that stupid red card last weekend) on for Brana soon as he got booked. 2) Ivanovic, he lost his head as soon as he was denied the penalty in the 1st half its as simple as that. He is a experienced player for me he should be controlling himself a little better and lets not forget he had been marking Fellaini all day the man who's header led to Van Persie scoring. And of course number 3) is Phil Dowd!!!!! We all know how inept this man is as a "ref" countless times he let things go for Utd which we were penalized for and how he didn't see the two players being held just asks the question "what was he watching then"!!!
There are positives too honest...... I felt we started the game quite slowly actually and didn't really get to grips with the game until just before Drogba scored. Oh and how great was it seeing Drogba score from open play in a big game for us again. I was very impressed with Luis today, Di Maria learned very quickly that he was getting no joy down the right and moved himself over to the left and that says it all. Matic was decent too and Hazard in moments was brilliant again but i must say as i said at the start of this essay it was the worst we have played this season on the whole. Its quite easy to see the best 2 keepers in the Premier League were on show today, both Courtois and De Gea for me outshone every other player on both sides. But even if it was the worst we still came away with a point and was only a poor ref away from taking all 3.
I said before the start of the game that i'd be content if we ended the day 6 points clear of City and i lied because i wasn't when it happened but i think that was because it was still raw. Now thinking about it rationally and calming down a little bit 6 points clear of your only other title challengers with us already played up there, things are so good with us right now!
Lets just take the positives from this game, smash QPR next weekend with a fit Diego Costa and enjoy being top of the league.
UTC!!!
