Don't get ahead of yourselves. This is an abnormal year for Chelsea. There's plenty of work to be done for Chelsea to become truly self-sustaining.

Definitely mate but it's good to see the club get closer and closer every year

The balance sheet is for last year, not this year. David Luiz and Romelu Lukaku sales aren't accounted for in last year's balance sheet, at least that's how it is in accounting. There are no prize money as well, how exactly "abnormal" was 13-14? This is different from FFP accounting, however.

Great first half performance today we should of gone in at half time 5 or 6 goals up! Shame we couldn't add to our lead in a dull second half but we got the win so I'm happy!

I think everyone had one eye on our big CL tie coming up later in the week, so it's understandable.

Yeah my dad said the same to me. Wouldn't be surprised if Jose told the players to take the foot off the gas in the second half.

I'll be honest, i'm still pinching myself to make sure what i am watching from my Chelsea team is true. Some of the link-up play in short spaces to either get us out of trouble or on the edge of the oppositions box really is something else and with a striker scoring on a regular basis too! Is it a form of Tiki-Taka? Yes it is but that's not all we rely on, we can hit the ball long, be patient, press the opposition and hit on the counter. We are genuinely showing ourselves to be so versatile we can change to whatever style we need to make sure we beat every opponent.

The early goal really helped us today i felt, yes although the game finished 2-0 lets be honest if Ben Foster didn't have the game of his life it would have been 5, 6 or even 7-0. Excellent to see Costa score yet another goal and our 2nd was as brilliantly well worked as it was poor defensively from West Brom's side. I want to quickly point out Fabregas who's through balls today are (what i said in my tweet during the game) illegal, exactly the type of player we have been for for easily 2-3 years.

I have been working a lot this year so far but booked this week off so i could get to his game today, but unfortunately i never got a ticket as they sold out very quickly. But what i want to say is well done Jose Mourinho and well done to the supporters today. Yes some of us may have felt what Jose said about the support was out of line but as i said at the time he only says things for a reason and he got that response today. The support was brilliant i cross my fingers the Bridge can keep this kind of atmosphere up.

I'll finish on the subject of our new #8. This is a man who has no fears, when he signed he had no problems taking the #11 shirt which was parted by the man who just won us the Champions League. And when that same man came back to the club and wanted the #11 back he saw the #8 left by our all time top scorer was vacant, no problems for this young lad he has no fears at all. I'll be honest i was annoyed with him when he went off the boil last season from December onwards, it was obvious he was saving something for the World Cup in his home country and i can actually understand that. But i must say this past 6 weeks i believe he has been our best player (besides from Matic who is just consistently brilliant) and has been showing levels which for me could lead him to become one of the best in the world game. He was rewarded with a new long term deal during the recent international break so i expect him to be wearing that #8 shirt for a few more years yet and if he keeps improving like he has been maybe when he leaves us he will be looked at in the same light as Super Franky Lampard.

Top of the league, unbeaten, top of the scoring charts, i'm avin a laugh!!!!

UTC!!

This was the piece of play i meant when i was talking about link up play

Just want to look at a quote which i think went under the radar a little bit not just with us but especially with the media. It comes from Cesc Fabregas on MOTD last night where he said in an interview.

"I have never enjoyed a football match more than the first half today."

When you think about this quote in detail it just makes the hairs on my neck stand up and gets me thinking "what are we about to witness from this current squad". This is a man who was firstly part of an Arsenal side who were known for being great in attack, great in possession of the football even if they did fail to win much whilst he was there. He then was part of a side who are in the conversation of being one of the best to ever grace this wonderful game. As much as the majority of us dislike Barca we can't deny how wonderful they were, how easy on the eye they were and he was apart of that. But even if you delete his club history you have his International achievements! He's a player who was part of a team who won 3 competitions in a row for the first time ever in the history of football. He has a World Cup and 2 European Championships with his nation playing what majority believed to be the best football.

So for Cesc to say something like the he did yesterday really should excite us all, this is a team which could go on and have a period of domination!

Let's not get ahead of ourselves though. That was probably the easiest game we will have all season. Good win but the season is still young

This season was always yours to lose.

Wouldnt say that at all. City have an immense squad that is well on par with ours. United just dropped a **** load of cash on players adding to a squad that was champions last year. Arsenal have improved with Sanchez and Liverpool tried to improve I suppose

All easy to say that Chelsea's season to lose after the start we had but it's more due to every strong team underperforming massively as well

Your transfer window was amazing. You finally build a full squad. Everybody else is missing that one or two pieces to be on pair with Chelsea. With that and some luck with injuries Chelsea flew away. You were main favorite even before season started, at the end of the transfer window you just got extra lap on everybody.

I don't think City are missing any pieces tbh. I agree that we have a better squad than any team except one but I don't think it's fair to say that it was always our season to lose especially when City only kept strengthening since last season as well. The other big teams have have underperformed massively and I fully except the title to be a close run thing rather than a lap of honour

City lack left back and CD. Mangala and Demichelis are decent, nothing special. They didn't manage to form partnership with Kompany and both their LB are great offensively, but defensively they are poor. I do agree their squad is second best, but they had some injuries. And there's also difference in quality between managers as well. United changed 60% of it's squad in last 2 years, it's difficult to gel them in quickly, let alone with the amount of injures they had at the start of the season. Liverpool was never going to challenge for title after their transfer business. Arsenal lacks way to many players on key positions. Wingers, strikers, midfielders and defenders. At least one player is needed everywhere.
