Carragher just called Terry the best Centre Back in the Premiere League Era. Superb praise although I wouldn't think so. Terry is fantastic but I feel 3-4 players such as Vidic and Ferdinand were better in their prime. Terry is a bit of a limited player, play him in the right system alongside the right player and he can be fantastic or he can be exposed horribly

I would think Terry is up there with those two. Rio and Nemanja have more silverware but that's due to Manchester United. Carvalho - Terry was great partnership.

Terry > Ferdinand for me and not to forget he has lasted at the top level longer although Ferdinand may be a few years older I'm not sure. Vidic is a tough one he was a machine in his prime.

Next fixture West Ham United (H) on 26/12/14 @12:45 on SkySports.

Our last vs West Ham at the Bridge 29/01/2014: Chelsea 0-0 West Ham.

Our biggest win at the Bridge vs West Ham 09/04/1966: Chelsea (George Graham x2, Ron Harris, Terry Venables, Bobby Tambling x2) 6-2 (Peter Bennett, OG?) West Ham Utd.

Our biggest defeat vs West Ham at the Bridge 29/03/1986: Chelsea 0-4 (Frank McAvennie, Tony Cottee x2, Alan Devonshire) West Ham Utd.

Highest scoring game at the Bridge 17/12/1966: Chelsea (Tommy Baldwin, Charlie Cooke, Tony Hateley, Bobby Tambling x2) 5-5 (Johnny Byrne, Peter Brabrook, Martin Peters, John Sissons x2) West Ham.

Chelsea's home league record this season: P-8, W-8, D-0, L-0, F-20, A-3.
West Ham's away league record this season: P-8, W-3, D-3, L-2, F-15, A-12.

Our record at the Bridge vs West Ham (all comps): Played-50, Won-27, Drawn-11, Lost-12, For-93, Against-66.

My stats of the game: Chelsea have not lost at home to West Ham since 2002 when Paulo Di Canio scored a late goal in a 3-2 win. A run which stretches back 9 games with the blues winning 7 of the meetings and only conceding 3.

Jose Mourinho has a record 5 wins and 0 defeats in 6 Premier League matches as coach vs West Ham.

My Stat of the Week: Sam Allardyce has only managed 2 wins in 21 Premier League attempts against Chelsea.

Merry Christmas to everyone, hope you all have a wonderful day and thank you for taking notice of these posts i do. UP THE CHELS!!!

Fantastic performance. Costa was absolutely brilliant throughout the game. His goal was taken very well too

Still loving the feeling of having a class striker once again! Costa has been off form by his standards recently and yet still has 2 goals and an assist in his last three games.

Someone needs to do a comparison of his first half performance with that of Torres in the exact same game last year. World of difference against similar West Ham defending (deep into their box)

Well would be harsh to compare that as i was there and Torres never played lol. But Eto'o played so i'll do it for you because i'm nice and its Xmas.

Eto'o:
Shots - 4
Passing % - 78%
Chances Created - 0
Take ons - 3
Tackle % - 0
Aerial Duel % - 0

Costa:
Shots - 6
Passing % - 77%
Chances Created - 3
Take ons - 2
Tackle % - 0
Aerial Duel % - 25%

This is based on 90 minutes though bud.

Eh I was pretty sure Torres played. I was thinking more about movement and general play overall rather than stats

Chelsea making Torres sale official increases 2014/15 FFP hit from £9.1m to £18.2m, but 2015/16 decreases from £9.1m to 0. Very smart move.
