Anyone thinks the specialist can do us a favour next weekend and smash City? With the form Sanchez is in, it's marginally possible. Anyways I hope we go on a little run now, winning at least 3 out of the next 4. Villa, Everton and Swansea all beatable

Unfortunately no!

David Luiz who sat on our bench for the majority of last year just got in to the team of the year lol

So Torres just scored in the first minute for atletico vs Real, I'm made up for him hope he rediscovers himself back at atletico.

(apologies if this isn't appropriate place couldn't find this seasons la liga thread if we even have one this year)

Torres talk will always be accepted here in my eyes.

Great finish for the second one as well, so composed on the ball.

Fairytale stuff for him.

Erm rout comes to mind! Some of our football was outstanding! Fabregas just sensational!

Fabregas Oscar and costa our stand out performers today. Swansea being absolutely awful especially at the back helped us but still I'm taking nothing away from our boys they were brilliant.

Wow what a weekend! Not only did we witness what i believe to be our best performance so far this season we extended our gap to 5 points on City!

As i said above if it wasn't our best performance it was by far our best 45minutes probably since Jose has come back. The ruthlessness in the side was at a new level for me, Jose kept asking for more and more. Some of the one touch passing and interchanging from Oscar and Fabregas was amazing to see. The thing which impressed me the most though was our pressing, at 1-0 i put out a tweet which said "Swansea's playing out from the back is killing them" we kept pressing them high up the pitch in numbers giving them no option to play the short ball.

It would be obvious to point out brace goalscorers Oscar and Costa as our best performers but for me Fabregas was head and shoulders above anyone else on that pitch! He absolutely ran the game, he dictated the tempo and was involved in everything positive about the team. Again i'll go back to the summer when the news broke about us signing him and i believed he would turn out to be the best signing we had made for years and i still stand by that comment.

Another thing which impressed me from the game is how quiet Hazard was which i know sounds quite strange. What i mean is that he is our difference maker, the man who can make something out of nothing but we still managed to turn in a performance like what with him being quiet which tells me other players are coming to the fort which bodes well.

Obviously our weekend was made far sweeter by Arsenal YES ARSENAL beating Man City at the Etihad. Their first game without Yaya Toure and they lose and look toothless in the process, i believe i saw a stat which read "Man City have lost every game without Toure this season". Unfortunately if Ivory Coast reach the final of the African Nations which is very possible he won't miss as many matches as we would have liked. 1 in the FA Cup vs Middlesbrough and 2 league games a home tie vs Hull which you expect City to win but luckily the other one is that game at the Bridge! EXCELLENT!!! Its lovely going into that game knowing if we lose we still come out on top with a 2 point gap.

We have been spoiled with some excellent performances so far this season but Saturday felt a little different to me. It felt was like we were sending out a statement of intent, like we said "we have another gear here and we will use it". A big couple of weeks coming up new with the 2 games vs Liverpool and obviously that game with City, 3 games which could start to show how successful this season could be for us.

UTC!!!

Interesting plan tonight. The idea seems to be to let them have it out wide and go narrow when they do. Moreno's getting forward a lot but whenever he does Iva drops inside to effectively give us 3 CB and Willian comes to pressure Moreno/stop the diagonal pass to the edge of the box. If Liverpool keep pushing Moreno up like we could easily catch them on the counter.

Bad performance but a good result. Hopefully we turn it on at the bridge. It seemed to me as if Mourinho was playing for a draw. No pressing high up the pitch, Matic and Mikel together etc.
