This whole Costa thing has just made me realise that people don't know the difference between stamping on someone, to treading on someone.

Costa has lost his appeal and will miss 3 games starting with City and will miss Villa and Everton. Jose cancelled his Presser for today after this news.
This is a comment I saw from a United fan about Costa losing his appeal...
"Total hypocrisy from the Liverpool-biased media and punditry, after watching endless games of Skrtel elbowing players, endless Gerrard diving, Suarez biting and plenty of other types of behaviour etc. This is bad for football, former Liverpool players turned pundits now have an open line to force the authorities to act. This is nothing short of a media-driven campaign to avenge Liverpool's pathetic season."
Now there are some parts I don't agree with, but I do agree with the part about a media-driven campaign. This whole ban thing has stunk from the moment the second-leg finished and all the pundits were talking about was Costa's "stamp" and not the actual game itself, what makes it reek of bulls**t even more to me is the fact the case was fast-tracked by the FA in time for the City game. It might just be me being a bitter Chelsea fan but I still think this whole situation is utter rubbish.
Retrospective punishment should become a norm for all types of incidents and not just ones that the referee supposedly missed. Usually actions, such as Aguero stamping on Luiz, takes place in a split second and the referees are unable to make an informed judgement on the right decision to make. With the benefit of endless tv replays and camera angles, the FA can ensure rightful punishment is given.
What I am worried about is that with the way we are defending him, he will become another Suarez. Constantly thinking their is some agenda against him despite the idiocy of his own actions.
We should defend him in this case because there is no evidence that proves he deliberately trod on Can and the incident happened a few days before arguably our biggest game of the season.
We should defend him but we are taking it way past the line ... Mourinho not doing his press conference etc. Will only make Costa feel like their is some sort of agenda against Chelsea and become another Suarez
I suggest you read this...
Jose Mourinho is creating a siege mentality at Chelsea with Diego Costa saga | Daily Mail Online
Now obviously Mourinho couldn't of predicted Costa's "stamp" on Can and I think The Mail are giving Mourinho a bit to much credit here, but still it wouldn't surprise me if he was trying to create this so called "siege mentality" within the club before the City game.
De Bruyne just ripped Bayern apart...
If Jose doesn't win something this year, I feel he might be seeing a lot more scrutiny than he's used to from Chelsea fans.
