Maybe he revolutionized the physics...everytime he makes a pass his foot lands on somebody's ankle... anyway I'm out of this argument as I couldn't believe what I was reading...

No wonder you can't believe it, since apparently the only physical activity you've performed in your entire life, is typing on a keyboard. Matic was late to the challenge, he literally runs into Barnes' feet that was already in swung. That's all there is to it.

That's nonsense. That pic says absolutely **** all. It was just an accident, Barnes passed the ball and you can't just stop the swing of the boot as soon as you hit the ball.

Matic is lucky though not to get injured seriously, but it was just an accident.

Both deserved a red card imo. Even handling the ball in the box is an accident but that doesn't mean we let players off and don't hand out red cards/penalties. Also Matic is an absolute fucktard for his reaction

Pot calling the kettle black much? You say things that essentially disagree with what 99% of pundits, ex-players, managers and fans are saying and then accuse others of fantasizing of being football experts. That Everton player was merely trying to move his hand away from the ball right? LOL

Making up imaginary experts. Very smooth. They all disagree, but apparently not openly enough to actually be quoted or referenced. That's hardly a surprise, of course, since they would actually have to exist first, instead of being your last resort panic response, after you've realized you made a moron out of yourself.

And yes, Everton player was merely trying to move his hand away from the ball, which you very well know, but admiting you were wrong was too hurtful emotionally, so you decided to bail the **** out of Everton thread and pretend you never participated.

Oh they exist alright. Maybe you should explore other footballing sites beyond just making a fool out of yourself on FM Base and look for yourself. Everton player trying to move his hand away from the ball. Most ridiculous rubbish I have ever read. Even if he was, he still did handball in the box and thus penalty should have been awarded. Same thing here, regardless of whether it was an accident or not, both should have been red-carded

Only reason I didn't bother responding on the Everton Thread was because I couldn't be bothered after reading your bullshit. Making ridiculous claims based on your own basic knowledge of the physics of human movement despite several opinions to the controrary.

I thought you said awhile ago that you were 'out' of this thread? Obviously can't keep your word aye

Intentional handball is penalty..

Unintentional handball can be penalty as well. It depends on the position of the arm, and whether or not the defender gets an advantage of touching the ball with the arm. Which is why the referees have to make a subjective assessment of the situation on the go, which in turn is why there's a debate over every other penalty.

In Fifa's Laws of the Game 2005, Law 12 says a free-kick or penalty will be awarded if a player "handles the ball deliberately (except for the goalkeeper within his own penalty area)".

What is deemed as deliberate handball is for refs to interpret.

First penalty appeal was a pen, the second one was a bit soft in my opinion as I thought Costa could've stayed on his feet, but nonetheless there was a push on him. As for the Barnes thing, it could be the case that he was just attempting a pass and caught Matic accidentally, but having watched Barnes play for Brighton many times in the past I wouldn't put it past him in leaving that leg in on Matic intentionally, because he is a dirty player and he always did like a red card or two.

At the end of the day we ****** up, we should've had the game wrapped up in the first half so the team can only have themselves to blame, yes it didn't help that Atkinson was **** but still we can't rely on refereeing decisions to win a game! If we put the game to bed we would still be sitting 7pts clear today. We were guilty last season of not killing teams off and to some degree are the same this season.

Goals on Sunday was great! Bet Sheppard needs a lie down after that, and the look on Kammies face when Shepard was questioning him was pure gold :)

Wonder what Jose will think of Vertonghen's push on Noble? Should've been a second yellow for Noble and based on the fact Matic got sent off for his push yesterday Vertonghen should've seen red for his reaction today, one word inconsistent.

A yellow for both of them in my book.
