Fair point, but Rafa or AVB could have done the same. It's not rocket science. I know that they are adepts of the high line, but the whole point of football is that you work with the hand you've been dealt with, until you can get new players. Luiz was a liability, Cahill was ok-ish, Terry was our best defender, who cannot play in a way they wanted.
It's like in FM: you cannot take the same tactic and expect it work exactly the same way for every team.

Same goes with Lampard. He did not decline drastically, he was just moved into a position that did not suite him at all.

That doesn't fit how they play to be fair, that side that was built for sitting deep. In many way they were not a fit for each other, Rafa did well to find a middle ground despite not getting the players he badly needed, ie the ones you then went an bought for Jose

Tbf, reporter is the one who brought up the issue

Terry didn't need to take the bait though. There was a choice to have a pop, or not have a pop. he gets away with it because he is still largely popular again, and Rafa doesn't have many fans outside of Liverpool, but it's unedifying.

Oscar not selected for Brazil's copa America side! He will finally get a summers break for the first time in a good 4-5 years.

A few chelsea fans ive seen on Twitter are disappointed!!! Will be interesting to see now what his performances are like next season post December.

They shouldnt be, he is burning out post winter for you guys atm.

So many people overlook how he's not had a proper rest from football in at least two years. Next season he's going to be really effective after this rest, I'll bet.

Excellent news about Oscar not being picked, he's played constantly since joining us!

Guardian claiming we have strong interest in Koke, Pedro Rodriguez, Clyne, Schneiderlin, Toby Alderweireld, Rob Green, Vicente Guaita, Ricardo Rodriguez and Griezmann!!

Really excited if we can add some of these players to our squad. Heard we retain an interest in Miranda as well

Koke would do wonders in your team!

That is if he is not sacrificed for any new arrivals.

seen us linked with Icardi a number of times the last few months. Any good?

Agree and 22-27m ive seen quoted WOW :O

Far too much for him, but it's understandable given how the market is and his goalscoring form for Inter this season. £15m striker at best in my opinion. To be honest I think Mandzukic would suit us better and would probably be available for around the same price as Icardi, the only problem is age when Mandzukic is involved and whether or not he'd want to play second fiddle for us behind Costa (I doubt it).

Jose's son is a gobby little ****** ain't he! Wonder where he gets that from :p
