What makes you say we wouldn't get both?

You can easily get both, if Koke wants to leave i can't see them being c***s about it. They have great recent history of replacing nearly anyone with not much fuss. I mean they've had aguero, falcao, torres and costa in the past 10 years and all were allowed to leave, De Gea another big star.

Unless something has changed very recently, Mendes isnt Griezmann's agent. So I would probably throw that story out straightaway

We have a good relationship with Atletico. If both players want to leave and Chelsea offer a good price, I can't see their being too many obstacles. We can use Filipe Luis as leverage as well

The Rob Green deal is a great one IMO, obviously not the same level as Cech but is a good back up and can do a job when called upon. Bonus is he is a home grown player!

1 because all reports in Spain says there has not even been any contact. 2 Mendes is not even Griezmanns agent. 3 reports in Spain saying they won't let both players go this Summer. We will see.

Of course their might not have been any contact but that doesn't mean Chelsea can't get both. They have the money, spare capacity in the squad, good relationship with Atletico as well as a player they really want in Filipe Luis. I will not be surprised if we got both. After all we managed to snag 2 key players in Costa and Luis last summer as well from them

Most important part is whether the player is interested in the move. There were many rumors that he rejected move to Barca last season when they met his release clause as he wanted to stay at Atletico.

Reports on Spain this morning report that Griezmann is very close to agreeing to join Chelsea( good signing! IMO) but Koke is staying. Luis going the other way.

If we get Griezmann, what do you think will happen: he's going to be repositioned, or Hazard moved to center/right?

I imagine if we get Griezmann he'll play in behind Costa, but tbh that trio behind Costa move all over the place so it doesn't really matter anyway. Or it'll be Griezmann on the left and Hazard moved more central.

Will be great to watch. With the new quality players coming back in the prem over the last couple of seasons and next, I can see English teams coming to the for again in Europe.

Rumours that he is interested in a move apparently. Again it's rumours but nothing I have seen suggests that we can't get both players

Some info about Nathan:

" Fan of Atletico here.

Reason he is leaving is due to a contractual dispute with Atlético.. his father (his agent) wanted a sum (wages) which Nathan is simply not worth yet.. But bc of his potential other teams were there to pay him. Atletico weren't playing him as often as his father would like and he took us to court to get Nathan out of his contract (three yrs left), which he lost.. Chelsea are acting as 'agents' in this case, he's not going to be playing for Chelsea anytime soon.. it's a way to get around the contract he's in as well as the '3rd party' ownership ban.. he's not any where near ready for europe let alone Chelsea. He was not a regular starter for us and very often played pretty poorly, but he is only 19 yrs old. Also he needs to stay in brazil or his fee goes up drastically as per his contract with Atletico. It's quite a detailed and kinda complicated issue.

For a bit more detail, basically Nathan played well in a few tournaments for the younger Brazilian national team (sub 17 and sub 20). His 'value' went up so his agent (father) wanted Atletico to pay up. Other clubs showed interest so they were using that to negotiate a new contract with Atletico. Atletico and their president are known for being very very hard negotiators and once our president believes in something it is very very difficult to change his mind. He's very cocky and very stubborn. But in this case he has a very solid point. The issue was that Nathan has yet to play well for Atletico. Out of probably about 30 or so games for us he has played well in about 3-5 of them. He shows a lot of promise in certain aspects but he's simply not good enough yet. Again, this kid is only 19 years old so that doesn't mean he won't be great. His father pretty much wanted big time contract for him or else he would take him elsewhere. I believe he had 3 years on his current contract which Atletico were very happy with just running it out or running it for at least another year before selling him. Well his father realized there was a clause in the contract that for $2 million the contract could get bought out so that's just what he did. He came up with 2 million with some investers.. BUT he was stupid and didn't realize that the 2 million is only is he were to go to another team within Brazil. For him to get sold to Europe the clause was $30 million. Nathan's father took him too court and lost. Atletico had the right to keep Nathan against his will, which knowing our president I thought he was going to do just that. But that's when Chelsea came in and helped become an "agent" of sort. Not sure what Chelsea's play is in all of this but I guarantee you Nathan will be loaned back out to a club in Brazil. What's kinda ironic is that the best club for him to be loaned out to is probably Atletico PR this year. We have a very weak team and he would have gotten a lot of minutes this yr in his preferred role. If he gets loaned out to one of Brazil's 'big' teams, he's gonna have just as much trouble getting into the game as he did was us the last two years, when we were pretty good. "
