Khedira seemss to be a victim of Madrid's backroom politics more than anything else. Perez wants marketable pretty white boys who will move tshirts, not a hairy german who looks like he came straight from Hobbit set.

And I doubt his poor performances were due to injuries, under Ancelott he never really got the run of games to get into match rhythm. Under Mourinho he was always excellent, and here he would playing for Mou again, so...

Is he necessary? He's a **** of a player, people seem to forget that, and at Chelsea he'd probably get more rest than at Liverpool, but with Chelsea's current array of attacking midfielders it hardly seems worth it, especially when Chelsea are otherwise doing so well with FFP.

It'll be really interesting to see how Mourinho fixes the Oscar problem, if you can really call it that. We can either get someone like Sterling who can play anywhere in the band of 3, or look further back and get someone who can reliably play in the pivot when we push Fabregas forward (please god no more Ramires). Us getting Cuadrado does rather suggest it'll be the latter but then again it would be nice to have better coverage for Hazard as well.

We have one of the weirdest squads right now, somehow full of quality backups and surprisingly thin at the same time. It's... odd.

What a fantastic day at the bridge I had seeing the players lift the title! Roll on next season. Would also like to say fair play to a number of Sunderland fans who not only applauded some of our 2005 title winning players but also stayed at the end to applaud the current squad as they celebrated with the trophy.

Apparently Jorge Mendes has offered us Falcao. According to the reports Falcao wants to continue playing in the Prem but wants to live in London and he's willing to take a big pay cut to make the move happen... Interesting.

I saw the same ... Very interesting indeed. Could be a very good signing to replace Drogba as long as he takes a substantial wage cut

Also a substantial wage for Falcao is almost certainly not enough. If he cuts down to 50% of his current wages, he'd still be on well over 100k+ and it would be a serious gamble. It's the kind of thing a club like Liverpool need to do, but we're not in that situation. We have 2 good strikers at the club already, lots of prestige and shitloads of cash: there's simply no reason to take the risk.

You think Benteke would come to us to be the 3rd striker or would you be planning to replace Remy?

Not sure. I do like Remy quite a lot, but Benteke is a monster on his day. He won't come as a 3rd striker though. Maybe give Izzy a chance? Remy number 2 for me.

I loved Falcao at Porto/Atletico, but he's been ***** for quite some time now. I don't really rate him atm.

Remy should be kept as second choice next season definitely. Scored more/similar amount of goals as third choice as all three of our strikers the season before.

If you want to go left-wing a bit, Charlie Austin would be a great third choice striker. Cheap, English and showed he can cut it at this level. Battering ram of a forward to replace Drogba. Chelsea fan as well apparently

This ^^

Money would be far better spent on other areas of need instead of sounding it on a crocked Falcao. Reminds me too much about the Torres deal

Unfortunately out of all the strikers linked to us the one that I'd like to see sign for Chelsea isn't and that's Vietto. I've been very impressed from what I've seen of him at Villarreal and he'd be a decent addition to our squad. His off the ball movement is quality. It seems he's Atletico bound though.

Great young prospect. Watched him shed loads last few seasons. Been on the card for a few months about Atletico, Ballague reported on Revista agreement was in place about 13m euros.

If Ballague's correct and Vietto's on the move to Atletico I guarentee he'll be the next big striker at Atleti within a couple of years, as long as he doesn't suffer from injuries of course. They'll sign him for €13m and sell him on for £40m+ easy... ****** bastards.
