✔ @guardian_sport Radamel Falcao completes Chelsea deal and will join up with club on pre-season tour http://gu.com/p/4aavn/stw (Photo: EPA)
It may be a great move from Chelsea's POV on the face of it, but I'd be concerned at the attitude of Begovic, an established first choice and International, who needs to be playing at 28; turning down the likes of Villa and guaranteed top flight football to sit on the bench.
Says a **** of a lot about what he's all about.
Not necessarily, there're other factors to consider as I've mentioned in the rumour thread.
1.) The possibility of winning trophies and medals.
2.) CL football.
3.) Chelsea can offer a higher salary than the likes of Villa etc.
4.) Living in London.
i disagree with that and agree with Alcaraz.
2 years ago when we finished second it was **** poor PL. Last year, it was even worse with nobody of the top sides having a good year outside of Chelsea. And they're still a good ways short of the difference makers, and depth, in Europe.
They should be looking to add 2 World class players to stay on top and take it on again.
You should always be looking to improve. NEVER settle.
Exactly what you said bud ^^^^^^^^
Jose knows retaining it is far tougher than winning it so he will make sure we add what we need.
Should never standstill only going off memory cba to google but think I am right in saying united 99 team didn't strengthen and then won nothing next season
We won't be standing still, the windows only just opened and I imagine we'll announce the signing of Turan soon. Also Jose's track record suggests we will strengthen this season. You might be thinking of the 1997/1998 (Only won the Community Shield) season because in the 1999/2000 season United won the league by 18pts and they won it the season after that as well.
Think he will tbh. Was poor with us and has been dog **** in the Copa eventually getting dropped for Martinez. Cant see him playing much tbh.How do they manage to be delighted every time.
Welcome, I guess.
Hope he doesn't suck balls. That's all.
Im not sure about that tbh. It was bad enough watching him for us last season, and after watching the Copa I actually feel sorry for him! Would be interesting to know the thoughts of Jose! Remy would be a better back up tbh.Well he can't be any worse than Drogba last season so I guess it's an improvement to our squad.

The injury has ruined him.
Can't see what Mourinho thinks he's gonna' get out of him at all.
That's the spiritMourinho pushed very hard for this signing which is the only reason I retain some optimism. The old wizard has been known to pull a rabbit out of his hat by getting the best out of players on the decline or low on confidence from time to time. Look at his treble winning Inter team. Made players like Sneijder, Milito and Eto'o shine

Did not prove much in the Copa for his country. Getting knocked off the ball and having a touch like an elephant. Just cant see anyway he is getting back, just watching him play you can see he is frustrated. His mind is telling him yes but his body just wont let him. And he is gonna be more shot now after Martinez has replaced him for Columbia.I would be a lot more enthusiastic had he not signed with us and plateaued like most predicted. Instead of a veteran and rapidly aging forward who is very much in his twilight years, you now have a someone with a chip on his shoulder with something to prove. Given all the doubts and reasons to think he will never return to anything similar than what we have seen at Atlético, Falcao may find this very refreshing.
It's one thing to play under José Mourinho with his track record of rejuvenating players that others have supposedly given up on. But consider that Falcao signed for Manchester United when the season had already started. He rejoined Monaco's squad mid-way through preseason and never finished a competitive game for them. This time around he has all preseason to be fully fit. This will be the biggest test of him post-injury that anyone could give him.
I think its harsh whenever people slate Drogba, he couldn't do what made him who he was anymore and i doubt he expected to play that much but only did because of injury. When he did play at times he was poor the first half vs Leicester he was dreadful but he had that class which never goes to pull out a sensational performance in the 2nd half.
