Interesting to see we're being linked with a move for John Stones again. I think he'd be an excellent addition to the squad and personally I'd love to see him join the club. Also under the tutelage of our defence and Mourinho Stones could really take his game to the next level.

Be surprised if Everton sold both him and Coleman in the same window. Could see both costing over 25m.

Yeah, it would be surprising to see both of them leave in the same window, but having said that I definitely think Everton will listen if say Chelsea and United offer £25m for Stones and Coleman respectively. Also given our relationship with Everton is pretty decent, I wouldn't be surprised if a deal for Stones involved one of our youngsters going the other way on loan.

Yeah we both have good relationship with them tbh.

Such a shame to see Cech finally go, he's been nothing but world class for us and is an absolute legend at the club. Best of luck to him, even if it's at smelly Arsenal. He posted his "goodbye" message earlier for Chelsea fans on Twitter...

It's a sad day for me personally. Many people are probably able to understand what it feels like to lose a man (not just a player) like Petr Cech. I cannot be grateful enough for what this man has done for our club and the blue fans all over the world. We will always remember you as a humble and pure human being and a fantastic player, because you truly are nothing less than a world-class keeper, who won us many points and trophies throughout this journey.

There are only 3 players in the recent past that I felt the same way about: Didier, Frank and now Petr. And I know the 4th player of this magnitude is going to leave us in the not-too-distant future and I will have this feeling again. And I accept that. It truly was a golden era with those 4 and many more of course (can't forget Ashley Cole either who was fantastic for us) who helped them make us happy and proud.

And finally, I wanna add one more thing: Thank you, Roman Abramovich! Thank you for making this possible and I cannot be thankful enough. Yes, I, as many others, have been mad at you for many stupid things you did, but you wouldn't have made us mad if you hadn't made us happy in the first place. You are the reason we are sad today as you are the reason Petr made us happy many times throughout the years. These 4 players will be remembered forever. A few generations later, those banners will be held high and those names will be sung.

I'm not looking forward to JT's farewell but I'm looking forward to another golden era of Chelsea Football Club.

Perfect Nick.

Love when someone speaks from the heart. And so eloquently too.

Perfect.

Thanks for posting the image and not the Tweet, some of the responses on there are disgusting. I generally worry for the human race when I look at football related Twitter pages.

No problem mate. Honestly it's ridiculous how fickle some "fans" can be, just scrolling through the responses to that tweet I've seen people use such words as traitor, snake and back-stabber. Those tweets probably came from the same sort of morons that wouldn't let that man on the train in Paris. Anyway as much as I'll hate to see Cech in an Arsenal kit, I cannot wait to hear the cheers he'll get at Wembley in August and even though he'll undoubtable strengthen them it'll still be great to see him in the Prem. He along with Schmeichel are the two best goalkeepers I've had the privilege of watching in the EPL.

Without a shadow of a doubt. I'd maybe put Seaman up in that top bracket of three the PL era.

But those two are at the front of that top group.

Cech is the kind of guy that even opposing fans can't dislike. I mean, actions speak louder than words here. Roman signing on that deal, even though its obviously not in the best interest of the club. And 4-year lucrative contract at 33. That **** says it all about how much respect the man has in the football world.

Fixed.

Selling a 33 year old keeper who has arthritis for 11 million which is 4 million more than we paid for him 11 years ago and replacing him with a 28 year old home grown fully established keeper for 8 million, i ******* love how Chelsea do things!

To be honest we've always been pretty good at replacing players, not necessarily ability wise, but very rarely do we sell a player without having another one lined up already. Like you say Begovic for £8m is a brilliant piece of business from us (If it happens). However I'm still optimistically waiting for us to tie up a deal involving Griezmann and Turan, with Luis, Salah and some money going the other way.

It may be a great move from Chelsea's POV on the face of it, but I'd be concerned at the attitude of Begovic, an established first choice and International, who needs to be playing at 28; turning down the likes of Villa and guaranteed top flight football to sit on the bench.

Says a **** of a lot about what he's all about.

Not necessarily, there're other factors to consider as I've mentioned in the rumour thread.

1.) The possibility of winning trophies and medals.
2.) CL football.
3.) Chelsea can offer a higher salary than the likes of Villa etc.
4.) Living in London.

What does everyone think of Arda Turan maybe joining? I like him but got a feeling he really won't improve us too much.

I'd love to have him, my only concerns would be his age and the price tag. £29m for a 28-year-old who'll turn 29 in January is to much, if we can get him for around £20m then I'd say go for it.
