When they do ^this^ to the Yokohama kit, I will buy it. The one without 'mobile' looks so much cleaner and beautiful. Goes to show how 1 little thing, 1 word can **** up one beautiful shirt. Oh well.

Ironically, I do have the 'Samsung mobile' one. LOL

Anybody see a future for Van Ginkel at Chelsea?

He's still only 22

If he steers clear of injuries, gets some game time and develops well at Stoke then I don't see why not. Just look at Bertrand Traore, he had a good season at Vitesse and now he'll be in and around the first team squad this season.

Yes. He was very highly rated before his injury and still is. Mourinho had lots of praise for him when we signed him and clearly liked him in preseason. If he can prove he's got his mojo back consistently this season I would be very surprised not to see him back in the squad next year.

So here's our pre-season squad:

Courtois, Begovic, Blackman, Azpi, Brana, Aina, Cahill, Terry, Zouma, Clarke-Salter, Matic, Mikel, Chalobah, Loftus-Cheek, Ramires, Fabregas, Oscar, Hazard, Traore, Moses, Remy, Costa and Solanke.

Felipe Luis, Willian, Cuadrado and Falcao will join up with the squad on the 22nd.

I'm a bit disappointed to not see Boga and/or Charly Musonda in the squad to be honest, but I believe they've travelled to Austria with the under 21s squad.

Not just them two but also Bamford? Must have a loan deal coming his way very soon then.

I hope so, was excellent in our last 2 pre-seasons just got 2 bad injuries. Needs to stay injury free and playing in the Premier League could help him.

It would've been good to see what Bamford could offer during the pre-season tour, but ultimately I'd sooner see Solanke given the chance ahead of him (I'm not the biggest fan of Bamford). Also from what I understand Bamford, Ake and Boga have remained at Cobham training with the loan group under Eddie Newton before going out on loan.

You see i'm not a huge fan of Solanke just yet, think when i saw him in the post season friendlies he was very sloppy but i admit still very young. Needs to take a step up because clearly he is above youth football now.

Yeah, given he's only 17 I'm not expecting too much from him yet. However for me Solanke looks like our most promising striker at the club. Hopefully he keeps working hard, developing his game and maybe within a few years he'll be given a chance (I hope so at least). It's a bit unfair for me to criticise him because he is so young, but if there's one aspect of his game that he needs to improve on it's his ability to setup goals.

Bid rejected for John Stones. Doubt we will get him but good to see some proper movement in the transfer market at last

Even though the bid was rejected, that's just made my day and I think we could prise Stones away from Everton for around £25m.

Not what I'm hearing here.

Kenwright has repeatedly said he's not for sale and the word is it would take at least £30 plus to get Everton talking.

Oh well, it's only 5m more, it's not as if we're short of money. Kenwright always sells in the end.

Mourinho would be perfect for Stones development being as he's the only manager in England that properly organises and sets up a team defensively. His main problem is he tends to overplay and get caught out too much, along with his concentration wondering. But get him disciplined and he's a quality centre back in the making.

Terry would be ideal next to him IMO. JT, no matter what a **** many people think he is, is feckin class A defender

Dafuq O.o

Mourinho is not the only manager who can do that, look how many goals United conceded with the defence we had and all the injuries and tell me LVG can't set up and organise a defence. (Lets not forget that Mourinho learnt from LVG anyway).

Also you are totally doing a disservice to other managers in the league..... Pulis springs to mind as well as others. Very flawed logic in that sentence.

Chelsea the perfect team for Stones development? Not a chance. I'd say that if he went to any of the big clubs in the league, right now he's best staying at Everton and getting regular game time.

Disagree zz.

From back to front there's no team as organised in their jobs as Mourinho's Chelsea right now. They are a complete cohesive unit as a team. Pullis just packs the defense back there and fills it out with complete things like Shawcross. Mourinho actually appreciates the are to defending and his players, from the strikers on back, so well drilled it's embarrassing when you watch other teams in comparison.

The overall standard of defending right across the board in England is at an all time low. Why the Premier League is so exciting a brand. Hardly anyone knows how to defend properly.
