I am not sure why we bent over and let Atletico take Luis when they outright refused to sell us Griezzman unless we payed the release clause. Baffling business

And why didn't we go for Schneiderlin. He was there for the taking. I could go on and on but transfer window has been a complete disappointment thus far. Hopefully this forces the boards hand

Glorified friendly right boys? ;)

Anyways bad performance. Hopefully we improve. Squad in dire need of some fresh faces to liven things up

Oh what a surprise, Fabregas has been considerably better since we've brought on Oscar. If only this exact thing happened multiple things last year and we could have known...

Thought this was interesting, you need someone like Griezmann or dare I jinx us, Pedro.:

Meh, I wouldn't read to much into the defeat. Obviously I want to win, but like Alcaraz said the Community Shield's just a glorified friendly. Overall it was a poor match IMO, we didn't do much and neither did Arsenal to be honest, the only difference being Arsenal put away their chance.

Just about how Falcao looked at United. Works really hard, makes the runs, constantly finds the space, basically makes everything you'd expect from world class striker, up until he touches the ball at which point **** all comes out of it.

I'd prefer us to get a CM/AM rather than an AM/AMR if possible. If Fabregas or Oscar get injured, we're in serious ****, whereas we have a fair amount of players to throw at the wing positions.

Like De Bruyne?

Arsenal did the one thing they haven't done in years, got a lead then defended it with remarkably few mistakes. I honestly find that deeply scary.

They were alright, but I wouldn't say they were remarkable. I think it's more down to us being so poor.

Like De Bruyne?

He missed a half chance yesterday so he's obviously **** and overrated, keep up. Also he doesn't play well for the national team, showing he clearly can't work with Hazard and has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Wilmots could make a pot plant look like an astute manager.

They basically did a Chelsea.

I eagerly await people moaning about them parking the bus and how they're ruining football by closing up shop with a 1-0 in a big game.

To be honest anyone who criticises Arsenal (Not that anyone here has) for 'parking the bus' is a moron. It's called good defending, it's a legitimate part of the game.

Mourinho says he doesn't keep runner-up medals so he threw it to an Arsenal supporter.

ROFL.

He didn't try to burn anybody, he basically said its a nice souvenir, and hopefully the fan will love it despite it being only a runner-up medal.

Its a nice gesture, no need to make it into another fabricated drama.

I'm not entirely sure it was a nice gesture: if you watch the footage, a fan throws rubbish at him just before he goes into the tunnel so he stops, throws the box into the crowd and then leaves.

I think he was doing his best to be the bigger man about it, shaking hands with all the Arsenal players, fake smile and everything almost got there and then though "oh **** it" when the wrapper lands in front of him.

I love the old Shankly attitude of 'First is first. Second is nowhere' in Mourinho that makes him a winner. But it's a complete disrespect to give away a medal. Even if it's not the winners. Bury it deep in a draw at home and never look at it again. But don't openly give it away.

Tarnishes things.

.

Well I'm just rehashing what he said in the interview, and I'm not sure if he even noticed the thing being throw, I thought it landed behind.
