Was just thinking on FM and looking through reserves at how many great or promising talents that have halted their great careers to sit on a bench for a bit more money. It's such a shame that there's so many talents that have moved clubs and barely get a shout at their new clubs.

Players who used to be number 1 or a regular starter to playing every once in a while

I'll get the ball rolling with a few obvious ones I think..

Yuri Zhrkov - CSKA > Chelsea

Yossi_Benayoun1.jpg

Yossi Banayoun - Liverpool > Chelsea

Roque Santa Cruz - Blackburn > Man city (now erm back at Blackburn)

I know he didnt move club but M.Johnson at City cuz of injury.
He still isn't back fully yet

Ricardo Quaresma when we went to Inter and on loan to Chelsea :P Now thankfully starting every gaem at Besiktas. Quality player.

How can you say Figo ruined his career? :$ He won everything bar International Tournaments.

First choice at Sporting, First choice at Barcelona, First choice at Real Madrid, First choice at Inter Milan before he got older and had to sit out...

Konchesky was good for Fulham and West Ham and now hes **** for liverpool (loaned to nott'm forest already;) )

To some extent Benzema

He's playing quite a lot now but that's only because Higuain's injured, as soon as he's fully fit again, benzema will be back watching from the sidelines

Its pretty fair to say basically half the teams at Chelsea and City now. Who was the guy who left Reading was it for Chelsea a few years back? Cant even recall the guys name hes so far off the radar.

There are a few big players who could have also been on that list - Mascherano - bench warmer at Barca, Kaka - yes injuries dont help but playing better without him. Dudek too - happy to warm a bench at the Bernabau.

Someone said on Radio 5 Live after the Liverpool Chelsea game that any Liverpool striker who left the club always had their careers go down hill - Owen - season he left they won the Champions League - and possibly Torres may fit the bill in the long run too.
