The "I don't enjoy playing this save anymore" syndrome!

Did 9 seasons once with villa on fm10 , so far i manage about 3 seasons then get bored and try somethng else, didnt ever manage anywere except england though so plenty of stuff to try , my brother told me to try indian leagues he says its a lot of fun.

You should try them, I am Indian and would love to see someone manage an Indian club like Pune FC. I suggest you manage Pune FC because they have one of the best forward pair in the league, Edmar (Poacher) and Mandjoy Keita(Target Man). Also you have Subrata Paul, India's keeper who impressed in the Asian Cup at your disposal :) Try it out mate, try it out :D

have a set goal when you start a save, like I want to be the best manager in the world, above Sir Alex in the HoF :)

or win the Champions League with 3 different teams...

or three different League titles...

what I do is I take a mediocre team like Sc Freiburg and make them into a powerhouse in their respective leagues, then after 3 or 4 seasons I want to move on, declare interest in other jobs and see who is interested and take it...

then bring in your favourite players and staff from your previous team and start again with new challenges...

be like, if Roma offer me the job I want to win the Serie A after 3 years, ECL in 3 years.. etc etc :)

Exactly!

In my save with Swansea these were my goals...

Promotion from Championship in 2 seasons. (Got it in one)

First season in Prem, try and not finish last. (Finished 17th and survived)

Third season all up, tried to finish above 10th. (Got 13th)

Now I'm in my 4th season, I'm trying to finish above 10th again :) (Currently 10th)

Wanna be able to make Europe within 3 seasons. Then be in top 4 within 5. Win Prem within 7.Then after ten maybe win Champions League.

If someone takes 30 shots at your goal a game you are bound to have a few good saves. XD

I personally thought he was good but his defence was shocking.
What's the name of the Indian captain? I know he's from the north-east, and it doesn't sound like a traditional Indian name.

Yes,that is our weak point. The defence is really horrid here. Yes, the captain's name is Baichung Bhutia, he is the first Indian to ever play abroad when he played for Bury some years ago :)

sometimes if i starting getting bored i look at a younger player in the side that has talent and try get him to be the best in the world... as of now am currently try hard to get my Palace youngster an england call up in the coming years, can add a bit of extra goals to the win everything and be the best

You are showing lack of determination and loyality :P
For real, yea... When you achive everything in just 2-3 years, it can become boring :(
AI is not really smart and its easy to beat him.

i got forest into premier league one it by 15 points my top goal scorer ( sanogo) scored 45 goals so it got too easy so im starting again with a notts county

It's great to now i aint the only one just like manage another championship team or something

Well ive had this syndrome alot but im hoping to play the save im doing at the moment until i actually die on the game :)

I find it is just about finding the right team. I am currently Peterborough in my third season and could keep going, i am right into it. In fm10 i also had this problem until i started a save with wolves which went for 6 seasons which is alot for me.

Another way is to sign realistic signings so instead of being given a transfer budget of 30 mil like i had at Peterborough and spending it on high quality players i tend to sign players with a reputation similar to my team. It makes it a bit more difficult but that is what keeps you going.

Mind you in my FM10 save with Wolves i qualified for Europa in season 4,5 and 6. It took me 3 to actually get into it and even when i was in there i couldn't break the top four because i still signed realistic targets.

I always bring back an old clubs glory days :D, like Preston

haven't won the EPL since 1890
FA Cup since 1938

but I always go forward about 2 or 3 season and work from there onwards :D

or try and get a team back up to the highest league and stay there :P

I did that with Deportivo last Fm, was good....

the best save and fun/challenge I had was starting with Santo Andre in the 3rd tier of Brazillian Football :) was good fun :)

just set yourself goals and targets...

I have always wanted to do one in Brazil, thought it would be a fun challenge especially with the great regens, but I am always turned off by the start dates and not playing in the ECC. What is the big cup you can get to with Brazilian teams?

Currently I am trying to make CFR Cluj into a European contender, hopefully that will keep my interest.

the Copa Libertadores (South America's ECC) and Copa Sudamericana (South America's Europa League, with the difference that teams that played Libertadores can play Sudamericana too, because one is played in the first half of the season and the other on the second

Brazil is one of the funnest leagues to manage in, there are hundreds of quality free agents that will join you in the 3rd tier who would be Leading Serie A players in Brazil :)

The trick is to not play too much - and I know that is hard. But playing hour upon hour at a time causes this feeling I think.

I used to be like you; but now I just play a game or two in a session and it keeps my interest.

Spot on I reckon.

I am 3 seasons in to my Liverpool save. I've won title after title etc and a couple days ago I got extremely bored of it so I have gone 3 days without playing it and I am motivated to continue my save once again. :D
