Braintree 4-1 Alfreton
Pablo Counago and Samba Kanoute scored two goals each as Braintree Town beat rock-bottom Alfreton at Cressing Road this evening.
Kanoute opened the scoring after twelve minutes from a Stoclers' corner before Counago doubled the lead ten minutes later.
Greg Young headed home a goal back for Alfreton six minutes later but the home side's two-goal lead was restored just before the break with Counago grabbed his second goal of the game.
After using all three substitutes at half-time, the home side were forced to defend the lead with just ten-men for the majority of the second-half after losing Fernandez through injury, but the Essex side scored a fourth from the penalty spot through Kanoute, who grabbed his fifth goal in three games.
