I'm getting excited for the season now.

If we can make 2 or 3 more good signings I think we have a decent squad.

Milner will be a key player this season, mark my words!

God friendlies are boring.

2-0 HT. Markovic and Sakho. Ings perfectly good goal disallowed.

First half team: 4-3-1-2 (right to left) Bogdan/ Gomez, Toure ©, Sakho, Wisdom/ Rositer, Lucas, Txeira/ Markovic/ Lambert, Ings.

Not much to report. Decent workout fitness wise in the still 90' heat and humidity. Players worked hard which was good. Impressed with Joe Gomez. Good engine to get up and down. Comfortable on the ball. Strong. Everything through Txeira in midfield. Markovic floating behind the front 2. Ings had one real bad miss. Then followed it from the corner with a goal that should of been allowed. But honestly just typical exhibition fare with little to no opposition.

11 changes coming the second half.

4-0 FT. Lallana added a third on 51. And Origi off the mark on 85.

Second half team: 4-1-4-1 (Right to left) Mingolet/ Clyne, Skrtel, Lovren, Maguire/ Allen/ Ibe, Milner, Henderson, Lallana/ Origi.

More exciting second half. Initially down to our high tempo, but mainly down to the torrential rain and **** poor pitch. Good pace and hard working fitness workout again. Very good Lallana goal from an excellent Henderson ball. Henderson was probably the best performer. Milner busy but well within himself. Origi, some good, some meh. . His speed of thought and instinct is nowhere near good enough to be a success at the top level for me. Maguire, who did well, put one or two good balls across the box that he would of reached if he'd anticipated a second quicker. He did hit the post twice. One a weak shot off the skiddy surface that hit the outside. Did well to dig it out mind. The other, after doing the hard work, a bad miss when it was easier to score. Very good header from a corner for his goal. But like Sakho's the first first, he was completely unmarked. Certainly has pace. To be fair to him though playing alone up front, even against garbage, is a thankless task. Even more so when you're young and inexperienced. The Thai'***** the post on 77 but absolutely no opposition at all.

Decent run-out for a kick-around. Mainly in terms of fitness but some tidy work all things considered.

Don't like Origi do you?

Origi was ok at best last season, never did anything decent when I watched him, though he did get some goals and 3 assists (maybe me watching jinxes him!)

Not sure I see him doing too much for Liverpool this season. Decent dribbler but I've not seen him brilliant at much else.

He has great character...?

:P

Feels kind of strange to be so happy to see the back of one of our best players.

We accepted he wanted to leave and we've done well to get a brilliant deal I think. Can't wait for his return to Anfield the little ****
and he as the game of his life and rips you a new 1 cant see it but would be funny

City don't come to Anfield until March.

He'll of been found out by then and won't be on the pitch to have a chance at the above. ;)
