I sorry to say it but I can't see ibe becoming the new sterling any time soon.

I'm not saying he will, but people were saying similar about Sterling not amouting to initial expectations - Still very young to be building him up or writing him off

Of course I am not saying that we should be writing him of but the hype of this summer and the new sterling label on him is more bad for him than good.

Yeah, potentially he can be but he was nowhere near the level of Sterling in the summer and isn't now

He never will be if the boy is too busy running the wrong way, rodgers trying to convert him into something he is not. No surprises there *cough* markovich *cough*.

Ibe was a disaster out there. Gomez wasn't much better today. Allen had two good involvements, but other than that it was poor from him too. Lallana should've scored twice, Origi should've scored as well.

There's just no sense of urgency in the team, no fighting spirit. We've lacked that ever since Suarez left, and Gerrard took the last dose of passion with him out the Shankly gates. It's just a poor team really, full of mediocre players led by an even more mediocre manager. It makes me wonder what they're actually doing on the training field. It's certainly not defensive work, but it doesn't look to be passing or finishing either.

On the positive side, results like this can only help speed up Rodgers' departure. He's not just on overtime, this is Fergie time.

Remove those Sion supporters, and you could've heard a needle drop at Anfield tonight. Can't blame the fans though, they can't be expected to cheer for performances like this.

It's a shame to say it, but I hope we lose on Sunday. I've had it with Rodgers, he needs to go asap.

ibe is an awful player will be playing championship football within 5 years

"We go into the the game against Everton and we will focus on our performance. The players will look forward to it. I haven’t lost a derby yet and they are always good games. We are point behind Everton - I know the media and written press will build the game up but we will stay calm. I am immensely enjoying the job, it is a great challenge and it is a rebuilding job again".

How he has the nerve to say its a rebuilding job after the mountains of cash he has wasted just ****** me off. Always blaming someone else, he is nothing but a greasy conman.

It always is a rebuilding job because we are always selling our best players when we show any signs of being successful

Yes, money is being spent, but it's never spent building on what we already had. It's usually firstly spent replacing a star player which can always be difficult - especially in Liverpool's situation

A managers first job is to use the resources he has, rodgers shouting about how good he would be if he had the tools he wanted. well sorry, the board gave you more than enough and all this transfer committe fiasco is just bs to hide behind the fact he cant spot a good player even if someone pointed him towards one. This rebuilding bullshit is just another excuse in a long line of excuses used by him to justify why he is failing.

I'm not defending Rodgers here, the signings have been poor, whoever sanctioned them - But almost most LFC managers the last 10 years+ have been hindered by the fact their best players are usually sold

Everything we were built on were the 'SAS'... Two have been sold and one unavailable for the majority of the past year

It's come to the point where Liverpool are simply a selling club. Once a player shows his ability in come the big teams and we are forced to sell

Looking at this, once Coutinho goes to Barca (Bound to) and possibly Sturridge gets ruled with a season-long injury, Mid-Table it ****** well is! We'll be buying the likes of ****** Charlie Austin, all of us will be moaning about how there once was a SAS, and Lovren will be our best CB due to others leaving

^^ With Brendan "Conman" Rodgers in charge.

meh. A majority of the clubs in europe are a selling club to the top spanish clubs. It doesn't mean that there are no good players out there who cant be targetted. Your telling me that there are no goalkeepers, defenders etc... out there, but noooo what do we do instead we stockpile on attacking mids every summer like there half price. Its comical the whole transfer strategy at the club. LFC being a selling club should not be used as an excuse on why we are **** poor in the window.

Alternative Reality

2015/16 - Jurgen Klopp takes over right after 4-1 loss in Derby, Lukaku tearing our CBs apart.

We finish 5th, with a gap on 6th place Everton and another gap on 4th place Arsenal

2016/17 - We scrape 4th on final day, after beating Notts Forest 3-1 and Man Utd lose to Swansea after Gomis Hat-Trick, fans go mad and Coutinho + Sturridge become Icons.

2017/18 - New owners take charge, Multi-Millionares, passionate about Liverpool FC, keep Klopp in charge, he finishes 2nd, after buying Simone Scuffet from Udinese for £17m after the the Transfer Committee was abolished in 2015/16 and also signing Marc Bartra and Hummels from Barca and Dortmund (Who are fighting for 3rd in Germany as we speak in this) for £20m each, people get sceptical, but they prove to be a success. We reach the Quarters of the CL, losing in a hard-fought game with Barcelona, with a 31 year old Messi scoring 2 to make it 4-3 to them, after a Sturridge Hat-Trick and Neymar with 2 made it 3-2 in the 1st leg.

... Can't call further! :P

We left the cones out on the pitch before kick-off. (Maybe in our bungled attempt to get the game called off?) Frigging Stewards had to come on as the teams lined up to move them! You have ONE job. And you can't even do that! **** never happened with Pascoe .....

Then the scoreboard fails. And half the lights on the crest over the Anny Road go out. (Maybe FSG aren't paying the leccie to try force him out?).

The club is an absolute amateur shambles from top to bottom.

And YAY ME! for not mentioning the latest absolute disgrace on the pitch. I want a cookie.
