Why leave Teixeira out the front three yesterdy done more in one game then milner, lallana and coutinho have this whole season.

Well he's certainly our best set piece taker by far ha ha.

I guess it would come down to whether you'd throw him in at Chelsea, but I'd be perfectly happy with Phil being dropped as his form just doesn't warrant a starting place this year. Hopefully Firmino showing him the way the middle will get his form back.

Teixeira played very well, but there is a difference in the capital one cup against an injury hit Bournemouth and away in the league against Chelsea

I wouldn't complain if he did start, but Firmino/Coutinho and one of Milner/Lallana/Ibe would be my choice

I'd personally put Milner in the same bracket as Coutinho as being the main two not justifying a place at all and who's places shouldn't be guaranteed right now.

As mentioned above, I defo like the idea of Ibe's pace against that Chelsea defence. Clyne playing so well going forward yesterday seemed to confirm, at least for now, the left fullback spot has the main emphasis of the two attack wise as he's been far from that adventurous his normal position. So Ibe splitting ahead of him, or yesterday Randall with Firmino dictating the middle and advancing forward past the striker gave a very nice balance.

How great is it that we're seeing noticeable improvements each the four games in different facets?

Definitely think Ibe should play, and actually I feel like he should start on the left, even if it means he will be slightly more inverted. Right back is where Chelsea have struggled all season with pace, and Moreno and Ibe down that flank could cause some serious issues for them. If Ivanovic is still injured it will probably be Zouma who isn't comfortable there either. Why did Markovic leave again??

Looking ahead to Sat'day dinner, I think I'd defo leave Ibe the right the three, with Firmino the middle (just how much of a classical Liverpool number 7 did he look yesterday?) then Lallana or Phil the other side. The one thing that Chelsea defense has been susceptible to is pace this year. And with Firmino alongside him, he was noticeably getting his confidence back yesterday the longer the game rolled, playing one-two's and running at Bournemouth. With Moreno pushing on down the left far more than Clyne, and (hopefully) Benteke the central striker, that looks a nice attacking balance with Can and Lucas boxing off behind. Leave Teixeira the bench too for a playmaking option.

Here's to that first league win.

#sackmourinho

#KeepMourinho I think it's ****** brilliant!!

Coutinho has been poor, but he is also a player I wouldn't even think about dropping for a game like Chelsea

He'd better buck his ideas up and fast because now he's had a good look at things, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him slipping down the pecking order as Klopp filters through the best XI.

I hate to say it, but if he still gets picked despite his poor form, he could be the new Ivanovic in that way... :S

Even though Phil is better. :P

Lol.

Joking aside, I don't think going forward ANY player, no matter how popular or perceived 'big/ important', will be picked if he's not doing what's expected of him. The team kind of picks it's self right now, but he'll be finding out what's best where going forward and what needs to change.

Hopefully Firmino, who looked fantastic and the best of anyone that position this season yesterday, brings the best out of Phil again.

Benteke or Firmino to lead the line against Chelsea then, depending on who you trust/believe

Great news! Chelsea are starting Zouma at right back so I'm hoping to see Ibe and Benteke in the second half

Bring benteke in halftime. With all the possession we have he should produce something.
