Let's hope but that's a **** poor side which he said he wouldn't do yesterday. It's worse than Carlisle and Rodgers would justifiably be crucified for that. Very disappointing. First frustration with Klopp.

But hey, still a game to try win and all that. Just not confident at all now.
hey, cmon give the kids a chance we wont know if their good enough if they don't get a chance.

Yeah scouse thats why you play the kids because they can be as good as teixeira. :P

Good work by Origi, driving round the outside, but then a smart ball in. Poor reactions from Distin, plays Texiera onside. Clyne doing well to stay alive and follow up.

First win for Klopp and not a bad performance at all.

Let's see who we get in the quarters!

Well done lads.
Let's hope you can build on it and get back to the 'Liverpool' way.

Anytime I met Liverpool fans in Dublin (actual lads from Liverpool), they were always great craic.

Surprising performance/ win. Didn't expect that at all pre-kick off.

Firmino's best game to date. Kids did well, including Ibe. Bogdan twice as solid as Mingolet. Great saves and can actually kick a ball. Only Origi continued to struggle in the main. Just doesn't seem to have the instinct. Allen and Toure woeful. And a first win for Klopp that's a massive weight lifted.

Only downside and real dampener on the night is the horrendous draw. Southampton on a Wednesday night is the worst possible draw.

Obviously I didn't have any replays at the game but Bogdan looked brilliant. Maybe a kick up the **** for Mignolet? Ref was a gobshite.

Wins a win. Think theres only City left in it now? Everyone else is a small club. (

Nice photie Tezzz.

Main Stand huh? Walked in with a spare Kop ticket no-one was interested in. Could of gone in on that if I'd known.

His first (of many) post win presser: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKm5TPZ_evg

Yeah I had a female with me (god help me I know) so the main stand wasn't too bad. Bit quiet as expected. I think I'll just get tickets for the Bordeoux game now. Definitely going in the kop for that.

The legendary partnership that is Skrtel and Lovren returns

Lol. God bless Sakho.

Lovren had a surprisingly solid game for his first outing in weeks. Kudos to him for that. The fella' Skrtel replaced sadly not so much. Toure looks like what he is. A guy on the last legs of his career trying to eek out that one last season. Which will be this one. Hard to watch a payer who's had a great career going on that one year too far and struggling to keep up with the pace as bad as this.

Lovren is usually quite solid for the majority of matches - It's the moment's of ridiculous madness that overshadow all of it haha!

I still think Toure could be a 'decent' player, but at his age he needs to be playing most weeks for that to happen - which it isn't going to here

It would have been smarter making Ilori or Wisdom our 4th choice this year (Wisdom could have doubled as a back-up for Clyne as well)

Nah, sad as it is to see, Kolo's gone. It was VERY noticeable last night. He was well off the pace. He needs to hang it up after this year.

At least Randall grew into the game yesterday second half and gives an option at RB. After getting schooled and pulled all over the first half, he settled and was far more solid second. And contributed well going forward. With Flanagan back the end of the year (please God), FB depth is looking brighter.

Still cursing Southanpton away.

13 possible great ties (any home would of been perfect and all the other 6 aways were good); and we go pull the worst possible one. Went from bouncing at the Midd'bro win to having that balloon well and truly popped with the logistical nightmare of a draw.

**** you football Gods!

On the plus side, Middlesbrough would be the furthest we could possibly travel the semi and that would also mean the blue ***** are out so not all bad ha ha.
