I'm really looking forward to Henderson's return. Like many, I was one who doubted and wrote him off but I think he is a key player now, and the style suits him down to the ground

He will improve us no end

It was always going to be the case at some point - You only contemplate dropping your big players if you either have adequate replacements or he has been that bad

Love Phil but there was a case to made for taking the pressure off him the season he's had.

Along those lines, it's great that he's no qualms in having Teixeira involved. If he starts to get more game time as we go forward that's another playmaking option we've not had.

When we've got little options to come on in place of him it would have been foolish, IMO

But i do agree on Teixeira. Great to see him involved

Strangely enough I was the only one who cut Hendo slack back in the day solely because of his work-rate.

Can't say the same for Lucas though. God I slated him :(

I was the opposite haha... I really rated Lucas and it was only recently I admitted I thought he was on the way down due to injuries, but he seems to be getting back to his best judging by recent performances

SO envious of anyone making the arduous trek to Kazan this week.

That's one of those trips you just want to be on. Be some good stories come out of that one. Sighs.

Yeah spot on mate. Still don't think he is anywhere near his top form but he is getting better the more plays again. The ball sticks to his feel like glue when he's on his game.

We were having the conversation, among many conversations. coming home last night about how balls out there Klopp was in his first massive game yesterday and how great it is to have such a pro-active manager that say's 'f playing for a point. Let's go do these!' for the first time in ages.

Starting Firmino up front rather than Origi who'd he'd had a good look at the first 4 games and who just wasn't contributing. Making the first change at 1-1, in taking off the captain and defensive minded midfielder Milner for Benteke. Switching out Firmino for Ibe after we went 2-1 up to stretch the play and look for the third which he subsequently provided when we all thought it would be Lucas who'd nearly walked he'd change.

All at Stamford Bridge, against the Champions, who, regardless of their current form, we'd not beaten for 9 games going in.

Love that ballsy approach. Outside of 2 years ago when have last had that?

Hold my hands up on Benteke too.

I was very down on that signing (mainly the fee paid); but from what we've seen of him, not least the last two substitute appearances, he looks to have everything to be the complete centre forward. Dynamite in the air, and not only fantastically strong at winning any ball upto him, but an excellent touch to go with it. Hard working. Quick. And that was a real strikers goal yesterday to complete the picture.

I'd say unless we go to a 2, or play Sturridge just off him as part of the advanced three behind; Daniel is going to really struggle to get back in and is currently our number 2 forward even when fit.

Real happy to be real wrong on Christian.

When fit... we can only hope! haha

Indeed. Benteke has everything to be your poor man's Lewandowski. Sturridge on the other hand, not so much, unless he'd be willing to play out wide. But he left Chelsea specifically because he hated that, so...

I think Sturridge is becoming the English Giuseppe Rossi.

He's a fantastic striker, bags of ability/ No question there. But he's hardly ever fit and he's had injury problems in the past. If we sold him, I'd be fine with it.

A-freaking-men!

I'm trying my hardest to take everyone elses advise and not get carried away but it is ******* tough! In the Chelsea post-match he goes on about how our team is starting to believe in itself and I'm just completely with him.

**** rubbing a buddha's belly I need to hang around with Klopp more to get this positivity flowing through my body PRAISE THE LORD JESUS KLOPP

I can't see him playing abroad and I really wouldn't want him going to another English club... It's a big if, but get him fit and he will improve any rival side

sturridge out till after the international break what a joke he is sick of him now

Easier said then done. Starting to think he has a bit of the Harry Kewell syndrome.
